Yonna Fuchsia Wide Brim Straw Hat
Yonna hat features two wide diagonals painted in a matte fuchsia tone. Its medium-sized brim is entirely composed of the distinctive alternating lines of the weaving technique. Its crown is adorned with a central pattern of squares carefully coordinated with the color of the diagonals.
Each hat is individually crafted by hand in Colombia by artisans from the Wayuu indigenous community

LOOK AFTER ME
Wayúu Hats are easy to clean. Wipe down the hat with a soft, lint-free, tightly-woven cloth (to prevent catching or snagging). You may also try a moist facial or baby wipe. Should a stray piece of straw pop up on the crown or brim, do not pull it — simply snip it off with a nail clipper or a pair of small scissors.
DESIGNER STORY
Washein was founded by Claudia – Nazareth’s hospital director. Her aim is to introduce people around the world with the most beautiful crafts from the native Wayúu tribe of Colombia. The artisans are involved in all the process, from dying the straw filaments, to carefully weaving the hats and bags and finally trimming and cleaning them. The pompons that decorate them are weaved by a group of Wayúu women from a different community, that live in Riohacha, the capital of La Guajira.
