16Arlington is the London fashion house founded in 2017 by Marco Capaldo and the late Federica “Kikka” Cavenati, best known for feather-trimmed minis and midis, woven-sequin column gowns and satin-and-lace pieces cut with real tailoring inside. What 16Arlington is known for
Feathers first: natural ostrich, marabou and goose plumes applied by hand along the hem of the Hodi mini and the Maika midi, the cuffs of the Michelle top and the Adelaide dress, the split of the Wye. Then sequins, woven into a cloth and cut as the Electra gown and the Sior mini, textured into square and spiky surfaces on the Otis, Mika and Dioni. Then the Spring/Summer 2026 satin-and-lace set, the Clio camisole, Filipa cardigan, Ricci trouser and Elma shorts in chocolate, lilac and pale green, which is the house’s daywear. Autumn/Winter 2026 brings the feathers onto velvet hems and chiffon cuffs, adds leopard-print pony hide and black devore, and moves the sequins into fringe on the Dia skirt and Roia mini and into copper on the Alne gown. Feathers, sequins and satin run through much of the range, black is the most common colour, and most pieces are made in the United Kingdom, with most of the rest from Portugal. The house, sometimes written 16 Arlington and pronounced sixteen Arlington, has shown at London Fashion Week since 2019, won the British Fashion Award for New Establishment Womenswear in 2024, dressed Kate and Lila Moss for the cover of British Vogue, Amal Clooney for the King’s Trust Awards and Lily Allen for her West End Girl shows, and in late 2025 released a 43-piece Marks and Spencer capsule and the 16 Looks collection with Antony Price.
How to wear it
One embellished piece leads and everything else stays quiet. A feather-hemmed mini with a plain pointed pump and a bare ear; a sequin column with one cuff and hair pulled back; the Clio camisole under a blazer with straight denim by day and with the Ricci trouser in the same shade by night. Match the metal of the jewellery to the tone of the sequin, silver with ivory and lilac, gold with chocolate and champagne, nothing with black, and wear the sheer chiffon and georgette pieces over a slip in the same tone.
Sizing
16Arlington cuts most styles between UK 4 and UK 14, and the coats, knits and some jackets in S, M and L. UK 4 is US 0 and EU 32, UK 8 is US 4 and EU 36, UK 12 is US 8 and EU 40, UK 18 is US 14 and EU 46. The brand fits everything on a 178 cm model who wears a UK 8. The satin-and-lace pieces are cut in a stretch satin and fit true to size; the woven-sequin columns have no give, so size up if you are between sizes; the leather and pony pieces have no stretch either. Are 16Arlington feathers real?
Yes. The trims are natural ostrich, marabou and goose feathers, listed on each garment’s composition, applied by hand to a tape and stitched to the hem, cuff, bust, split, wherever they sit. They are dry-clean only and should be hung, never folded.
