The original Full Brogue style was first crafted in Scotland in the late 19th century and has become a timeless staple of traditional men's formalwear. The design is often referred to as the "wingtip" due to its resemblance to the wings of a bird. The upper of a Full Brogue shoe is usually made of leather, and the serrated pattern is cut into the leather along the toe cap and sides. The sole is usually leather as well, and is usually stitched directly to the upper without the use of a welt.
