Who is Adam Lippes?

Adam Lippes was born in Buffalo, New York, studied psychology at Cornell and started his career at Polo Ralph Lauren in 1995. A year later he joined Oscar de la Renta, where he became global creative director and worked alongside de la Renta until 2003. He launched his first label, ADAM, in 2004, joined the CFDA in 2007, and bought the business back from Kellwood in 2012 to relaunch it under his own name. Read the full story in Who is Adam Lippes?

The house shows four collections a year and sells through its own boutiques in New York (828 Fifth Avenue), Houston (River Oaks District) and Palm Beach (Via Mizner), and through luxury retailers including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. Fall 2026 carries the racing theme of Pre-Fall into the mountains: winter white and icy neutrals, cut through with deep red, black and espresso. The knitwear is the heart of it. Cardigans come in fine cashmere, hand-brushed cashmere with crystal buttons and a viscose python jacquard, and most knits have a matching skirt. Silk charmeuse appears as a draped cowl top, a tie-neck blouse and the bias-cut Tess skirt. Three pieces come back season after season. The Tess skirt is cut on the bias so it falls close at the hip and flares from the knee to a midi hem. The Wyatt pant has front pin tucks and a generous leg, and is designed to sit under a long jacket. The Worth cardigan is a cropped crew-neck cardigan in fine cashmere with self-fabric buttons. Adam Lippes sizing

Adam Lippes uses US sizing. Add two to find your UK size. Take your usual size and use the shape of the piece as your guide. The one exception the brand writes down is the Reid cashmere turtleneck, where it says a fitted line comes from sizing down: knits are cut close, the Wyatt pant has room through the leg, and the coats are cut to go over knitwear.
