Andino Black Short Brim Straw Hat
Short brim straw hat has been handwoven in La Guajira desert out of Mawisa Palm straw. The Andino Hat will instantly refine any look. Its ancestral and head-turning design consists of harmonic geometries circling its brim and a smooth natural feel on its crown. Match it with a long white kaftan and leather sandals for a timeless ensemble.

LOOK AFTER ME
Wayúu Hats are easy to clean. Wipe down the hat with a soft, lint-free, tightly-woven cloth (to prevent catching or snagging). You may also try a moist facial or baby wipe. Should a stray piece of straw pop up on the crown or brim, do not pull it — simply snip it off with a nail clipper or a pair of small scissors.
DESIGNER STORY
Washein was founded by Claudia – Nazareth’s hospital director. Her aim is to introduce people around the world with the most beautiful crafts from the native Wayúu tribe of Colombia. The artisans are involved in all the process, from dying the straw filaments, to carefully weaving the hats and bags and finally trimming and cleaning them. The pompons that decorate them are weaved by a group of Wayúu women from a different community, that live in Riohacha, the capital of La Guajira.
