Carla Zampatti Size Guide: AU to UK, US and EU Sizes

Carla Zampatti uses Australian sizing, from AU 4 to AU 16 for dresses, jackets, pants and skirts. Australian sizes are the same as UK sizes, so an AU 10 is a UK 10. In US sizes, subtract four (AU 10 is roughly US 6), and in EU sizes, add 28 (AU 10 is roughly EU 38). Jersey and fur pieces use letter sizes from XS to L. Carla Zampatti gives no advice to change size, so start with your usual size.

How the tailoring fits

The house crepe is firm, lined and does not stretch. Jackets are cut close through the waist and fitted at the shoulder, so choose the jacket size by shoulders and bust. Pants sit high on the waist and are cut long; choose by the hip and check the length against your heel. How the dresses fit

The crepe midis and gowns are fitted, not tight. If you are between sizes, go by your widest point: bust for the sheath and peplum dresses, hip for pencil-skirted styles such as the Navy Crepe Cape Midi Dress. Gowns like the Black Crepe Layered Sleeve Gown are cut long for a heel.

Denim

Carla Zampatti jeans use the same AU 4 to 16 sizing, not waist inches. The Dark Indigo Denim Straight Leg Jean has 1% elastane and the Ecru Bootleg Denim Jeans 2% spandex, so they give a little more than the crepe.

Letter sizes
