Who writes what you read on Coveti, where our facts come from, and exactly how we use artificial intelligence.
By Coveti Editorial · Last updated 30 October 2026
Coveti combines data-driven market curation with sourcing direct from designers and boutiques. Our features are researched in our digital studio and checked against each designer’s own information. We name every designer who helps with a feature on the page itself: interviews, written contributions, reviews.
1. Who writes for Coveti
Our guides, brand profiles and product descriptions are published under the byline Coveti Editorial, the in-house fashion desk of Coveti, a London-based luxury fashion marketplace working with more than 500 contracted boutiques across eight cities. We use a team byline because each piece passes through several people and several checks before it reaches you.
We do not publish under invented names. Every person named on Coveti is real: a designer we interviewed, a founder who wrote to us, a contributor who wrote for us, a voice from a published interview we credit and link.
Articles written by our former Fashion Editor, Gemma Deeks, keep her name.
2. Where our facts come from
- The designer’s own information: composition, construction, lining, origin, care and sizing, taken from the house’s product pages, size charts and spec sheets.
- Our partner boutiques: what is in stock, lead times and made-to-order windows, confirmed in writing.
- Coveti’s own catalogue: prices in each market we serve, sizes held, colourways and restock dates.
If a claim about a garment is not supported by one of these sources, we do not publish it. Sizes are converted to UK sizing from the designer’s own chart.
3. Designer and founder voices
The most useful knowledge about a garment belongs to the people who make it. When we quote the people behind a house, the quote is word for word and comes from one of these sources:
- an interview with Coveti, recorded and transcribed;
- an email, written answer and signed statement, each with permission to publish;
- the house’s own press release;
- a published interview, credited to the publication with a link.
We say when and how each quote was given. A feature says “in collaboration with” a designer only when that person contributed to the piece, reviewed it, and agreed to be named.
4. Our data and measurements
Many of our guides include comparison tables you will not find elsewhere: how the same UK size measures across different ateliers, fabric weights, prices across markets. Every table has a short “How we measured” note underneath it.
- Every value has one of four sources: the designer’s published charts and specifications, our catalogue, our boutiques, our own measurements.
- When we weigh, measure and test a garment ourselves, the note says who measured it, when, and with what.
- We never estimate values. A blank cell means we do not have the figure.
5. How we use AI
We use AI tools to work faster across a large catalogue. People set the rules, check the output, and remain responsible for everything we publish.
| Where | What AI does | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Product descriptions | Drafts the description from the designer’s own product information. | Automated checks reject unsupported claims, wrong sizing and off-brand language before a product goes live. We review flagged items by hand. |
| Guides and brand profiles | Helps research, structure and draft. | Our team approves every guide before it is published, and checks each fact against its source. |
| Translation | Translates selected pages into Arabic. | Reviewed by a native speaker before publishing. |
| Studio imagery | Builds editorial backdrops around a real photograph of the garment. | Every render is labelled “Coveti studio render” and marked as AI-generated in the image file. |
| AI Stylist and AI Personal Shopper | Generates styling conversations and answers shopping questions. | Clearly presented as AI tools, never as a person. |
| Product photo backgrounds | Cleans the background of product photos to plain white. | We check colour accuracy against the original photograph. |
6. What AI never does here
- It never redraws the garment in a product photo, and never alters it. What you see is what the designer made.
- It never writes a quote. Words attributed to a designer are always their own.
- It never invents measurements, reviews, people and bylines.
- It never creates a workshop photograph. Behind-the-scenes images are real photographs from the house.
7. How we label images
Product photographs
The designer’s photography, with backgrounds cleaned to white. The garment is untouched.
Workshop photographs
Real photographs from the atelier, credited to the house. Cropped and resized only.
Coveti studio renders
Editorial images built with AI around a real garment photograph. Captioned as renders and tagged trainedAlgorithmicMedia in the file.
8. Updates and corrections
Guides show the date they were last updated. When a collection changes, the guide changes with it. If something we published is wrong, tell us and we will correct it and note the change on the page.
