Fusalp Ski Accessories: Beanies, Gloves, Mittens and the Chapka
Fusalp ski accessories cover the cold extremities: wool beanies with the tricolour Fusalp badge, PrimaLoft-insulated gloves and mittens with leather palms, a faux fur chapka and cashmere-blend neck pieces. The Cosmic and Knit beanies carry a Fusalp warmth rating of 4 out of 5, as do the Peak gloves. Coveti stocks the edit on our Fusalp page and in women’s hats.
What Fusalp accessories does Coveti stock?
Our edit is hats, gloves, mittens and scarves. We do not carry Fusalp goggles, helmets and socks. Everything is designed in France and tested in Fusalp’s Annecy laboratory, then made by partner workshops: in our edit the gloves and most mittens come from Vietnam, the Cosmic and Knit beanies and the Ruan neck warmer from Portugal, and the Nyx beanie, Pompon beanie, caps and chapka from China. For the full country story see where Fusalp is made. Shop the categories directly in women’s gloves and women’s scarves.

Which Fusalp beanie should you buy?
The Cosmic Beanie in Navy is the classic. It is knitted from 100% wool at gauge 6, thick and pearl-ribbed, with the tricolour embroidered Fusalp badge on the front. Fusalp rates it 4 out of 5 for warmth. It also comes in Snow and Racing Red.
The Knit Beanie in Snow is the quieter one: merino in an English rib, with a tone-on-tone silicone badge. The Snow and Black colourways are rated 4 out of 5, and the beanie comes in more colours than any other hat in our edit, from Grey Sea to Marron Glace. For a softer hand, the Cable Beanie in Snow is 90% wool and 10% cashmere in a gauge 5 cable. The Pompon Beanie in Navy, Racing Red and Snow is the playful one, in wool and cashmere with intarsia stripes on the cuff and a multicoloured pompom. The Nyx beanie in ribbed wool with the Fusalp Tech badge and the mohair-blend Miri beanie round out the knits.
The Fusalp chapka
For the coldest walks to the lift, there is the Arctic Chapka in Black. It is a trapper hat in faux fur, with flaps that come down over the ears. There is also an Atmo beige. It is not a helmet, so wear it on the walk to the lift, on the terrace and in town rather than on the piste. Our apres ski outfit guide builds a look around one.
Fusalp gloves and mittens
All of Fusalp’s ski gloves in our edit use PrimaLoft insulation and a fleece lining, and most add a leather palm for grip on poles. They differ in shell and shape.
- Peak Gloves in Black: bi-stretch twill with the Fusalp approved membrane, a leather palm, a drawcord and hook-and-loop closure at the wrist, and a small zipped pocket on the front of the glove. Fusalp rates them 4 out of 5 and describes them as made for extremely cold weather.
- Glacier W Ski Gloves in Black: plain softshell with a leather palm and a Hipora waterproof insert, plus a wrist cord and embroidered badge. Sizes 6.5 to 9.
- Glacier Ski Mittens in Black: the same build as a mitten. Fingers share warmth in a mitten, so this is the one for skiers whose hands always go first.
- Athena Ski Gloves in Black: leather all over, with smocked diamonds on the back, which Fusalp describes as giving an iconic feel, and an adjustable hook-and-loop cuff. The Athena also comes as a mitten.
I keep a pair of Glacier mittens in my ski bag for the first lift of the day and switch to the Peak once the sun is on the slope.
How do Fusalp glove sizes work?
Fusalp sizes its gloves in numbers, measured in inches around the palm. Wrap a soft tape around your palm at its widest point, below the knuckles and above the thumb, and read off the inches.
| Palm measurement | Fusalp glove size |
|---|---|
| 6.5 in | 6.5 |
| 7 in | 7 |
| 7.5 in | 7.5 |
| 8 in | 8 |
| 8.5 in | 8.5 |
| 9 in | 9 |
| 9.5 in | 9.5 |
| 10 in | 10 |
Not every style goes to 10: the Peak and Glacier mittens do, the Athena stops at 9.5 and the Glacier W gloves at 9. If you are between sizes, go up; a tight glove is a cold glove. More conversions are in our Fusalp size guide.
Scarves, neck warmers and caps
For the neck, the Ruan Neck Warmer in Black is a light tube in modal, polyamide and cashmere, made in Portugal, and the Cozy Cowl is a wool and cashmere balaclava with a knitted drawstring. In town, the Check Scarf in Ombre Check Arctic Wolf and Falcon is 80% alpaca, 200 cm long and fringed. Fusalp’s caps are the off-piste option: the Eden Cap in softshell with the Fusalp membrane, the Wool Cap in Melton wool, the Raining Cap in matte stretch nylon and the corduroy Velvet Cap, all with a Fusalp buckle at the back.
Completing the Fusalp look
Match the beanie to the jacket and the gloves to the pant. A Snow Cosmic beanie with a navy Delphine is a classic Fusalp combination; see the Fusalp ski jacket guide. The neck warmer pairs with a base layer from Fusalp base layers and sweaters, and the chapka with any long coat in the Fusalp down jackets guide.
