The Attico Cheope: The Sculptural Wedge in Boots, Slingbacks and Sandals

The Cheope is The Attico’s sculptural wedge: a square toe, an angular wedge heel and the house three-stripe stitching. It is one of the shapes that defines The Attico shoes, and the house uses it across ankle boots, tube boots, slingbacks and thong sandals, with the Cheopissima thigh-high at the extreme. Coveti has 9 pairs, from $1,200 to $2,790.

Key facts

  • At Coveti: 8 Cheope pairs and 1 Cheopissima on 13 October 2026.
  • Heel: about 6 to 6.5 cm on the sandals and ankle boots; 10.5 cm on the slingback and the Cheopissima.
  • Materials: patent leather, lamb leather, suede and stretch denim; nylon and PVC with a plexi wedge on the Cheopissima.
  • Fit: regular; the model wears an EU 39.
  • Made in: Italy, per the house.

Why the wedge works

A wedge carries weight along the whole sole instead of a single point, which makes the Cheope far easier to walk in than a stiletto of the same height. The angular cut is what stops it looking like a summer espadrille.

The ankle and tube boots

The ankle boot is pointed with a wide shaft; the tube boot is a straight, wide shaft that stops below the knee. Both are the wedge at its most wearable.

The thong sandal and slingback

The thong sandal puts the wedge under a square toe in patent leather, denim and suede; the slingback raises it to 10.5 cm for evening.

Cheopissima

Cheopissima is the thigh-high version in nylon and PVC, with a plexi wedge and side cut-outs that, the house says, are designed to show beneath a mini hem.

How to wear it

Let the wedge show: midi skirts, cropped trousers and short dresses. The black patent pairs go with anything; denim and red are the statement.
