Women’s Ski Suits: The Designer One-Piece Edit

A women’s ski suit is a one-piece that zips from the collar down, combining a ski jacket and ski pants in a single garment with no gap at the waist for snow to get in. The designer versions for winter 2026/27 are fitted, stretchy and built on the same technical details as separates, and Perfect Moment has the deepest line-up in the Coveti ski suits edit. The flagship is the Polar Flare Down Ski Suit in Oyster Pink, which turns the brand’s bestselling jacket into a one-piece.

Key Facts

  • Perfect Moment’s ski suits include the Polar Flare Down Ski Suit, the Tignes Ski Suit, the JG Ski Suit and the Alpine Race Track Ski Suit.
  • The Polar Flare Down Ski Suit has a helmet-compatible hood with chin guard, 4-way stretch Toray Dermizax fabric and integrated RECCO rescue technology.
  • The Tignes Ski Suit, which the brand calls a bestseller, has a subtly flared leg, a thermal fleece lining and a removable belt.
  • The Alpine Race Track Ski Suit belongs to the Perfect Moment collaboration with the BWT Alpine Formula One Team.
  • Mackage ski suits at Coveti include the Satory-GLO High-Gloss Down Ski Suit and the Elle-ZR Bonded Fleece Ski Suit.

Why Choose a One-Piece Ski Suit?

The case for a one-piece is mostly about the waist. With separates, a fall in deep snow can push powder up under the jacket hem, and a snow skirt only does so much. A suit closes that gap completely. It also means no ski pants slipping down on a long chairlift ride, and no jacket riding up when you reach for a pole.

There is a style argument too. A fitted suit gives a long, unbroken line from shoulder to boot, which is a big part of why the retro one-piece has come back. The drawbacks are real, though. You cannot shed the top half on a warm spring afternoon, and fit has to be right in two places at once. Read on before you commit.

The Designer One-Piece Edit

Perfect Moment Polar Flare Down Ski Suit

Inspired by the brand’s Polar Flare jacket, this suit brings the flared silhouette to a streamlined one-piece. The details from Perfect Moment: a fitted, flared cut, front-zip closure, two front-zip pockets, an external ski pass pocket, adjustable zip hems that fit over boots, snow gaiters with silicone grip and snap closures, anti-tear guards at the lower leg, a helmet-compatible hood with chin guard, and RECCO. The fabric is water-resistant, breathable Toray Dermizax with 4-way stretch. Choose the Oyster Pink for colour, the Wine for something darker. Earlier Polar Flare suit versions also carry duck down insulation in the upper body. If you love the jacket on its own, see our Polar Flare jacket guide.

Perfect Moment Tignes Ski Suit

The brand calls the Tignes its bestselling ski suit. It is a sleek one-piece with a subtly flared leg, a front zip with removable belt, two front-zip pockets plus a ski pass pocket, zip hems for boots, elasticated snow gaiters, anti-tear guards and a helmet-compatible hood with chin guard. A thermal fleece lining adds warmth without the bulk of down, which makes it the better pick for spring skiing and for anyone who runs warm. The Tignes Ski Suit in Houndstooth is the print to know this season.

Perfect Moment JG Ski Suit

The JG is the retro option: Perfect Moment describes its “retro-chic fit”. It is made with Toray Dermizax, a Japanese fabric the brand describes as highly water-resistant, quick to dry and fleece-backed, with an external ski pass pocket, adjustable zip hems and anti-tear guards inside the lower leg. The JG Ski Suit in Black is the most versatile, and the style also comes in Snow White and Red.

Perfect Moment Alpine Race Track Ski Suit

Part of the brand’s BWT Alpine Formula One Team collection, the Alpine Race Track Ski Suit in Snow White is a sculpted one-piece in water-resistant, breathable Toray Dermizax with 4-way stretch, with contoured panelling and aerodynamic stripes in Alpine team colours. It is the most graphic suit here. More on the partnership is in our Perfect Moment x BWT Alpine explainer.

Mackage ski suits

For a different handwriting, Mackage offers two very different one-pieces. The Satory-GLO High-Gloss Down Ski Suit in Red is down-filled with a high-shine finish, and the Elle-ZR Bonded Fleece Ski Suit in Black uses bonded fleece for a cleaner, flatter line. Our Mackage ski wear guide covers the full range.

How to Fit a Ski Suit

A one-piece needs to fit your torso length as well as your chest, waist and hip. Perfect Moment sizes run XS to XL, which the brand maps to UK 6 to 14 and US 2 to 14, with a waist of 62 to 66 cm at XS up to 82 to 86 cm at XL. The full chart is in our Perfect Moment size guide.

  • Test the reach. Lift both arms overhead and then bend forward to touch your boots. If the suit pulls at the crotch, the torso is too short for you, so try the next size up.
  • Layer for the try-on. Wear the base layer you will ski in. A fitted suit over a thin bodysuit and a fitted suit over a thick merino top are two different fits.
  • Check the hood with a helmet. Perfect Moment’s helmet-compatible hoods are designed to go over a helmet, so try it with yours if you can.
  • Close the hems over boots. Open the zip hem, pull the gaiter over the boot and check the back of the leg clears the floor.

The Toilet-Break Question

This is the first thing anyone asks about a one-piece, and the honest answer is that most ski suits come down from the top. The long front zip is what makes it manageable: open it fully, slip your arms out and roll the top half down to the waist. A few practical rules help:

  • Choose a suit with a front zip that runs well below the waist, and check it on the try-on.
  • Keep your pass, phone and lip balm in the external pockets, so nothing falls out when the top is rolled down.
  • Wear a base layer top, not just a bra, underneath. A bodysuit is a poor choice for the same reason, as it doubles the undressing.
  • Plan the stop. Mountain restaurant loos are small, so go when you stop for lunch, not at the top of a busy lift.

What to Wear Under a Ski Suit

Because a fleece-lined suit already carries warmth, a light base layer is usually enough. Perfect Moment’s Seamless Thermal Top in Black and matching leggings sit close to the skin without bunching. On very cold days add a thin merino mid layer. Our base layers guide has the full picture.

Fusalp makes slim, belted suits too: see the Fusalp ski suit guide. For the rest of the outfit, read what to wear skiing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are one-piece ski suits warmer than separates?

A one-piece removes the gap at the waist, so it keeps snow out better than a jacket and pants. Actual warmth depends on the insulation: a down-filled suit is warmer than a fleece-lined one. Your base layer matters as much as the suit.

How do you go to the toilet in a ski suit?

Open the long front zip, slip your arms out and roll the top half down to the waist. Wear a base layer top underneath and keep valuables in zipped pockets. Choosing a suit with a front zip that extends below the waist makes it much easier.

How should a women’s ski suit fit?

It should be close-fitting but allow you to lift your arms overhead and bend to touch your boots without pulling at the crotch. Try it on over the base layer you will ski in. The hems should close over your ski boots and clear the floor.

What is the Perfect Moment Tignes Ski Suit?

The Tignes is a one-piece ski suit with a subtly flared leg, which Perfect Moment describes as its bestselling ski suit. It uses 4-way stretch Toray Dermizax with a thermal fleece lining. It has a removable belt, a helmet-compatible hood with chin guard and zip hems that fit over boots.

Are ski suits in fashion for winter 2026/27?

Yes. Fitted one-piece ski suits are a strong part of the luxury skiwear offer this season, from flared Perfect Moment styles to glossy Mackage down suits. They give a long, clean line from shoulder to boot that separates cannot match.
