Awake Mode Shoes: All 27 AW26 Pairs, Heels and Sizing
A.W.A.K.E. MODE shoes are sculptural Italian-made heels, boots, sandals and flats from the London label founded by Natalia Alaverdian in 2012. The AW26 range on Coveti runs from a 10 mm palm flat to a 100 mm bow sandal, priced from $990 to $2,210, with most new styles offered on pre-order.
Shoppers often search for the brand as “Awake Mode”, but the label writes its name with the dots: A.W.A.K.E. MODE. The press reportedly expands it as “All Wonderful Adventures Kindle Enthusiasm”. Whatever you call it, the footwear follows the same logic as the clothes, and that is the key to buying it well. Below is every style we carry, with heel heights, materials, prices and sizing, so you can choose with the facts in front of you.
What makes A.W.A.K.E. MODE shoes different?
The shoes take the sculptural, off-balance thinking of the ready-to-wear and put it into the heel and the vamp.
Natalia Alaverdian, formerly fashion director of Harper’s Bazaar Russia, built the label on classic suiting codes cut off balance: collars at the hem, attached shirt-skirts, multicircle basque skirts. The footwear applies the same idea. You will see curved and swan-shaped heels, oversized bows, a fan-shaped “palm” vamp of layered strips, pom-poms on the toe and wedge heels with a sculpted curve. The silhouettes underneath are classic: a pointed pump, a square-toe knee boot, a slingback. The detail is where the label puts its signature.
The label shows on the Paris Fashion Week calendar as a member of the Federation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, and it is stocked by Net-a-Porter, Selfridges and Harrods as well as Coveti. For the fuller story, read who A.W.A.K.E. MODE is.
Where are A.W.A.K.E. MODE shoes made?
Every pair is made in Italy.
Every current style has a leather upper, a leather insole (lining on the boots) and a leather sole. A few styles add other materials: the bow on the Edda sandal, the Lea bow pump and the Noa boot combines leather with cotton, the Leonore loafer lists polyester alongside leather for its fur trim, and the Lauren Dalmatian sandal is printed calf hair. Each pair comes with a dust bag.

Which A.W.A.K.E. MODE boots should you buy?
Pick the boot by shaft height and heel: knee boots for coats and midi skirts, Western shapes for denim, the Noa ankle boot for low-heel wear.
The Tess Boot With Zip is the most polished: a knee-length shaft, a softly rounded square toe and a zip running down the front. The New Christy Boot is the clean, monochrome option in brown leather on a sculptural wedge. If you want a lower heel, the Dana Alta Boot sits on a 45 mm kitten heel with a pointed square toe.
For a Western line, the Viggo, Soren and Gabriel Sister boots all draw on cowboy shapes with a sculpted wedge. The Viggo Boot Python is the most graphic of the three. The Noa Boot With Bow is the outlier: ankle height, a 15 mm heel and an oversized bow across the front. Our statement boots guide compares them in more depth, and all of them sit in designer boots.
Which A.W.A.K.E. MODE heels are easiest to wear?
The 50 mm Lea pumps and the 70 mm Arna wedges are the easiest; the 90 mm Christine Cousin swan heels are the most dramatic.
The Lea Shoe With Bow pairs a pointed toe with a slim 50 mm heel and a giant bow at the front, which makes it the gentlest way into the label’s bow story. The Lea Shoe With Palm uses the same low height with the fan-shaped palm appliqued across the vamp.
The Arna family runs on a curved 70 mm wedge, which spreads weight better than a stiletto. The Arna Shoe in black silver gold splits the heels across the pair, one silver and one gold, for an asymmetric finish. At the top of the range, the Christine Cousin Shoes With Swan Heel rise to 90 mm on a swan-shaped heel. The bow styles have their own guide to designer bow heels.
Does A.W.A.K.E. MODE make flats and sandals?
Yes: two Vivian palm flats, a fur-trimmed loafer and three 100 mm sandals.
The Vivian Flat With Palm in leopard keeps the palm detail on a 10 mm sole with an ankle strap, and it also comes in violet. The Leonore Rounded Loafer With Fur frames a rounded square toe with plush trim and sits on a 15 mm heel. For evening, the Edda Sandal With Bow reaches 100 mm on a curved heel, as do the two Lauren slingbacks.
How do A.W.A.K.E. MODE shoes fit?
Most styles fit true to size in Italian sizing from IT 36 to 41; the Viggo boots, Gabriel Sister boot and Lea Shoe With Palm run large, so take a size down.
Italian and EU scales are the same. As a guide, 38 EU is about a UK 5 and a US 8. Not every style comes in the full run. The Arna Python, Dana Alta, Noa and Lea Palm start at 37, the New Christy and Gabriel Sister run 38 to 41, and the Lauren sandals stop at 40. Each product page lists the sizes for that pair. For the clothing conversions as well, see the A.W.A.K.E. MODE size guide.
How do you choose your first pair?
Start from what you already wear most, then let one sculptural detail do the work.
- If you live in trousers: a knee boot with a square toe, such as the Tess, shows just the toe under a wide leg.
- If you wear denim most days: a Western shape like the Viggo works with straight jeans and cropped flares.
- If you want a heel for work: the 50 mm Lea pumps give height without the strain of a stiletto.
- If you want one evening shoe: the Christine Cousin swan heel carries a black column dress on its own.
- If you prefer flat: the Vivian palm flat keeps the label’s signature at 10 mm.
The shoes also make sense next to the clothes. A sculptural heel under a basque skirt is how the label styles its own looks; our styling guide shows more combinations, and the A.W.A.K.E. MODE brand page has every piece we stock.
