Ienki Ienki: The Ukrainian Down House, Explained

Ienki Ienki is a Ukrainian outerwear house founded by Dmytro Ievenko, known for voluminous goose-down jackets such as the Michlin, its best-selling style, and for colour used without hesitation. The new Autumn Winter 2025 and Pre-Fall 2026 pieces sit in the Ienki Ienki edit at Coveti, alongside our wider range of designer puffer jackets and down coats.

The house says all of its garments are produced at its own facility in Ukraine, where designers, pattern makers, cutters and seamstresses work under one roof, and that many pieces are made to order rather than for stock. That is unusual for a down label at this level, and it shapes almost everything about the brand: small runs, a wide colour range on each style, and fabric names (Kiss, Micro, Ennio, Leon, Soft, Scooter) that repeat across the collection.

The signature shapes

Michlin

The house says the Michlin was inspired by the Michelin Man. The volume comes from the down itself, and a detachable belt pulls it into an hourglass line. Ienki Ienki Michlin Jacket Kiss Black is the classic way in; Ienki Ienki Michlin Jacket Ennio Red and Ienki Ienki Michlin Jacket Leon Copen Blue show how far the colour range goes. The Cozy Michlin, such as Ienki Ienki Cozy Michlin Jacket Micro Blue, is a double-face version with the same fabric inside and out, and the animal-ear hoods of Ienki Ienki Bear Michlin Jacket Micro Pink and Ienki Ienki Fox Michlin Jacket Micro Mocco are the house at its most playful. More in our Ienki Ienki Michlin jacket guide.

Keptar

The house says its Keptar styles reference traditional Ukrainian sheepskin garments, and the product pages tie them to Hutsul outerwear. Ienki Ienki Keptar Jacket Stefania Cream and Ienki Ienki Keptar Vest Stefania Cream edge Stefania fabric in faux shearling; Ienki Ienki Denim Keptar Jacket Blue does the same against denim.

Plahta

The Mini Plahta takes its name from the plahta, the traditional Ukrainian wrap skirt, rebuilt as a high-waisted down mini such as Ienki Ienki Mini Plahta Skirt Leon Black. Our guide to Ienki Ienki down pants and skirts covers the rest of the bottoms.

Pyramide, Winter and Cyclone coats

The long pieces are A-line and quilted: Ienki Ienki Pyramide Coat Ennio Red in square quilting, Ienki Ienki Winter Coat Micro Black with a detachable belt and a storm shield at the back, and Ienki Ienki Cyclone Coat Ennio Beige, which the house calls the warmest design in this collection. See Ienki Ienki long down coats.

From city puffers to Everest

Ienki Ienki also runs an Advanced Research programme. It developed an expedition system for the Ukrainian mountaineer Antonina Samoilova, whom the house describes as the first Ukrainian woman to summit Kangchenjunga and the only Ukrainian woman to have climbed all five of the highest eight-thousanders. The resulting Everest Overall, tested on Everest, Kangchenjunga and Makalu, weighs 1,952 g and uses a 40 g/m2 nylon ripstop, according to the house. It is a bespoke order through Ienki Ienki, not a Coveti piece, but it explains why the city jackets take warmth seriously.

How we compared: outer fabric, fill and lining are copied from the Ienki Ienki product pages on 7 November 2026; the size run is the Coveti listing. Where the house publishes nothing, the cell says so. We list no prices because they change by market.

One point worth knowing: not every piece is down. The Aeron jacket, for example, is padded with a silk and polyester blend, and the Ember pieces combine a silk and polyester layer with a down layer. The fill is always listed on the product page.

Ienki Ienki around the world

Searches for “ienki ienki” average about 2,900 a month worldwide and climb to 8,100 in November, the peak of the season. In the United States and the UK, buyers come to the brand through the Michlin and through broad searches such as “belted puffer jacket” (2,900 a month) and “oversized puffer jacket” (5,400). In the Gulf, Coveti clients buy Ienki Ienki for travel to cold destinations and for mountain holidays, where a long coat such as Ienki Ienki Pyramide Coat Leon Black earns its place. In Europe it sits naturally beside our apres-ski edit.
