About Maria Lucia Hohan
Maria Lucia Hohan is a Romanian eveningwear house. The designer studied at LISAA School of Art and Design in Paris and worked as a fashion illustrator in Milan before opening her own studio in Bucharest in 2003. The house is known for hand-pleated metallic silk tulle and mousseline, draped into goddess gowns with boned corset bodices, and more recently for corsetry worn as outerwear. Her gowns have been worn by Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Nicole Kidman, and a Maria Lucia Hohan dress worn by Logan Browning was recognised at the 2022 NAACP Image Awards.
