About By Malina
By Malina is a Stockholm label founded in 2010 by Malin Ek Andrén, who studied at Parsons School of Design in New York and worked in garment production in Hong Kong before coming home to Sweden. She started by making her own pieces for weddings and parties, and occasion wear still leads the collection: satin slip dresses, sculpted tailoring, bridal gowns and veils, and a monogram line of leather bags and accessories. The brand now trades as Malina and has a flagship in Bibliotekstan, Stockholm.
“By Malina does occasion dressing without fuss, and the Carmen Gown shows it: one good wedding dress that does the work for you.”
Gemma Deeks, Fashion Editor at Coveti
