How to read Strathberry dimensions

Strathberry lists approximate measurements as Length, Height and Width. In this guide we give them in the order most people picture a bag: width across the front, then height, then depth from front to back. All figures are in centimetres and come from the brand’s product listings. Soft shapes like the Sway and the Charlotte will measure slightly differently once filled, because the leather gives.

Depth is the number most shoppers skip and the one that decides what fits. A bag 23 cm wide but only 8 cm deep will take a phone and a card holder flat; it will not take a glasses case on its side.

Meghan Markle carried the East/West Mini in Bottle Green on a visit to Edinburgh in February 2018, two months after her Strathberry Midi Tote sold out within hours. The Sway is a soft grain calf bag with a relaxed structure. The Sway in Black, 23 x 16 x 8 cm, comes with a shoulder strap and an adjustable cross-body strap. The Sway Maxi in Black grows to 30 x 19 x 11 cm, adds an interior zipped pocket and is worn on the shoulder.
