How the gowns fit
Mermaid gowns such as the Nocturne and the Dominion are fitted from bust to knee. Choose by your hip measurement if you are between sizes. Corseted and basque gowns such as the Black Corset Ball Gown and the Noir Atelier are structured at the waist; choose by your waist. Draped and kimono-sleeve gowns such as the Sequin Kimono Maxi Dress have more ease through the body. Separates, such as the Bianca trousers, follow the waist.
Most Avaro Figlio fabrics include around 5% elastane, which gives the cady and velvet a little stretch and makes the fit more forgiving than a woven silk.
Length
The gowns are cut to the floor on a 175cm model. If you are shorter, wear a heel of at least 8cm, plan for a hem adjustment, and choose a mermaid shape, where the length is easiest to take up.

Avaro Figlio makes its pieces to order in Italy. Allow time for production before an event, and order early for weddings and galas in December.
