The Gianvito Rossi signature

Gianvito Rossi is the son of Sergio Rossi, and the family name has belonged to San Mauro Pascoli, the shoemaking town in Emilia-Romagna, for decades. His own label works on a very clean line: a sharp toe, a slim stiletto and an upper cut so the foot looks long. The Gianvito pump comes at 105, 85 and 70 mm, the Plexi sets a clear panel into a suede pump, the Portofino sandal closes with a round buckle at the ankle and the Rania is covered in crystals. Boots carry the same line upward, from the Levy ankle boot to the ruffled Hansen. Footwear News named Gianvito Rossi Designer of the Year in 2013 and again in 2017, and since July 2023 Richemont has held a controlling stake, with Gianvito Rossi still founder, chief executive and creative director.
