How to measure

The house asks for the bust to be measured around the fullest part, wearing a well-fitting bra. The waist is the smallest part of the torso, which usually sits well above the belly button. The hips are measured around the widest part, below the hip bones.

How each silhouette fits

The fitted maxi dresses, which are most of the range, are cut to the body from bust to hip and then released into a train, a slit and a cascading panel. In stretch crepe and jersey they are forgiving within a size, and the draping covers the waist. The strapless styles, such as the Cetus and Grimes, rely on the bust measurement to stay up, so be exact there.

The tailoring is cut close with padded shoulders. The Sagitta and Maia blazers are fitted suit jackets, and the trousers sit low with a subtle flare and no waistband, so take the size that matches your hips. The skirts close with a back zip and sit at the waist.
