Colmar Ski Jackets for Women: 24 Styles Compared
A Colmar ski jacket is a women’s technical ski jacket from the Italian house founded in Monza in 1923, and almost every one carries a published waterproof rating, breathability rating and warmth level. Coveti holds 24 styles from the Colmar ski collection for Fall Winter 2026, filed among our women’s designer ski jackets, from the down-filled Shaping Padded Ski Jacket in Black to two 3L shells and the Austrian and Slovenian national team jackets.
The short answer for most skiers: pick by the job. Choose a Very Warm down jacket for cold, dry resorts, a Warm jacket with synthetic wadding for mixed weather, and a 3L shell when you ski hard and layer underneath. Ratings run from 10,000 mm to 20,000 mm, and the warmest pieces are filled with duck down.
How Colmar rates a ski jacket
Colmar publishes three numbers on its rated jackets. The first is the water column, in millimetres: 10,000 mm, 15,000 mm and 20,000 mm. Colmar describes 10,000 mm as “suitable for heavy rain”, and 15,000 mm as suitable for heavy rain with a barrier of up to 15,000 mm water column. A higher figure means the fabric resists more water pressure, which matters on a wet chairlift seat.
The second is breathability, given as 10K, 15K and 20K. Colmar calls 15K “excellent for sports” and 10K suitable for moderate hikes and regular outdoor activity. Breathability is how well sweat vapour escapes, so it counts most on long climbs, in moguls and on warm spring afternoons.
The third is a warmth level on a four-step scale: Light, Medium, Warm and Very Warm. Across these 24 jackets the scale is used in full. The Connected 3L shell is the only Light jacket, and nine styles, the gilet among them, reach Very Warm. Most pieces also carry a water-repellent finish that Colmar says was developed without the use of PFOAS and PFOS.
Our guide to ski jacket waterproof ratings explained goes deeper. Below, they are applied to real jackets, grouped by job.
Down and puffy jackets for the coldest days
Colmar’s down jackets are filled with 80% duck down and 20% duck feathers, and every one is rated Very Warm. They suit high, cold resorts. What separates them is cut, shine and the shell rating.
The Mirea Glossy Ski Down Jacket in Black is the shiny one of the group, with a Comfort fit, a fixed hood with drawstring and a 10,000 mm, 10K rating. It comes in five colourways, and it costs $1,020 at Coveti. The Isadora Puffy Ski Jacket in Tulle Pink sits on the same 10,000 mm, 10K rating and Comfort fit at $1,010 at Coveti.
Step up to 15,000 mm and 15K and you reach the Puffy Padded Ski Jacket in Black, a Comfort fit puffer with a fixed hood, sold in four colourways at $1,060 at Coveti. For a cleaner neckline there is the Padded Ski Jacket with High Collar in Disco Pink, which swaps the hood for a high neck and keeps a Regular fit, at $1,010 at Coveti.
The most protected down jacket is the Ritmo Crop Ski Down Jacket in Black and Incense White. It is rated 20,000 mm and 20K, Very Warm, in a Comfort fit with a cropped length that pairs well with high-waisted trousers and salopettes. It is $1,180 at Coveti.
One more piece belongs here, though it has no sleeves. The Puffy Padded Gilet in Incense White is down-filled, rated 10,000 mm and 10K, Very Warm, with a fixed hood and a comfort lining with graphene fibre. It works over a fleece on bright days and under a shell in deep cold. It is $640 at Coveti, and it sits with our ski vests and gilets.
Shaped and belted jackets
Colmar has a long habit of cutting ski jackets close to the body. At the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo, Zeno Colò won gold wearing Colmar, and a close-fitting, aerodynamic technical jacket was introduced for the occasion. The house history is in our profile, who is Colmar. That line lives on in jackets shaped at the waist.
The Shaping Padded Ski Jacket in Black is the largest style in the edit, with six colourways. It is down-filled, rated 15,000 mm and 15K, Very Warm, in a Regular fit, at $1,020 at Coveti. Shaped panels do the work, so there is no belt.
Two jackets add an adjustable belt and a fleece-lined attached hood. The Padded Ski Jacket with Belt in White is rated 10,000 mm and 10K, Very Warm, with down fill and a Regular fit, at $1,170 at Coveti. The Ritmo Padded Ski Jacket with Belt in Capri Blue and Black uses the same construction with a higher rating of 20,000 mm and 20K, at $1,180 at Coveti. For wet snow, choose the Ritmo.
Warm jackets with synthetic wadding
Not every skier wants down. Synthetic wadding keeps more of its loft when damp, and it is easier to wash at home. Colmar’s Warm jackets use Repreve wadding, which the house describes as made from 85% recycled fibres, along with Ecosoft padding on two styles.
The Yin & Yang Ski Jacket in Black is rated 15,000 mm and 15K, Warm, with 140 g Repreve and a Regular fit. It comes in four colourways at $940 at Coveti. Do not confuse it with the Yin Yang Ski Jacket in Disco Pink, a different style with the same 140 g Repreve but a 10,000 mm, 10K rating, at $960 at Coveti.
The Ritmo Ski Jacket in Black and Tulle Pink and the Flex Ski Jacket share a stretch outer of 96% polyester and 4% spandex, 100 g Ecosoft padding, a fleece-lined attached hood and a 10,000 mm, 10K rating. The Ritmo is $990 at Coveti and the Flex is $940. The Niseiko Ski Jacket in Black and White is the lowest-priced jacket in the edit with a 15,000 mm rating: 15,000 mm and 15K, Warm, in five two-tone colourways at $790 at Coveti. Its padding weight is unpublished.
Faux-fur trims
Three jackets add a fur-trimmed hood, and on each the fur detaches. Colmar’s phrase is “detachable fur for easy care”: the jacket washes without the trim.
The Shaped Ski Jacket with Faux Fur in Black is the most technical of the three, and the most expensive jacket in the edit. It is rated 20,000 mm and 20K, Warm, with 140 g Repreve, a graphene lining and an adjustable belt, at $1,290 at Coveti.
The Charming Ski Jacket with Faux Fur in White uses 200 g Comfortemp padding, rated Warm with a 15,000 mm water column. Colmar does not publish a breathability figure for it, so judge it as a resort jacket for cold days rather than a jacket for hard climbs. It is $1,120 at Coveti. The Yin & Yang Ski Jacket with Faux Fur takes the Yin & Yang jacket’s 15,000 mm, 15K rating and 140 g Repreve and adds the trimmed hood, at $1,020 at Coveti.
Our guide to the white ski jacket covers how to wear a pale trimmed jacket and keep it clean.
3L shells for skiers who layer
A 3L shell bonds the outer fabric, the membrane and an inner layer into one, and it is the jacket for skiers who prefer to build warmth from below. Both of Colmar’s shells are rated 20,000 mm and 20K, the highest figures in the edit, and both have a two-way zip and an attached hood that fits over a helmet.
The Connected 3L Ski Shell Jacket in Disco Pink is rated Light, in a Regular fit, with a RECCO reflector. It is $1,060 at Coveti. The Padded 3L Ski Shell Jacket in Incense White is rated Medium and cut in a Comfort fit, which leaves room for a thicker mid-layer, at $1,020 at Coveti.
A shell is only as warm as what you wear under it. Pair it with a seamless base layer and a fleece, as set out in our Colmar fleeces and base layers guide and the wider advice on how to layer for skiing.
National team jackets
The Fall Winter 2026 line includes Austrian National Team and Slovenian National Team pieces. The two team ski jackets are built the same way: rated 15,000 mm and 15K, Warm, with 150 g Repreve, a fixed hood, an inner fleece collar and a ski pass pocket. The Austrian National Team Ski Jacket in Indian Red and the Slovenian National Team Ski Jacket in Black are each $1,110 at Coveti.
Three lighter team pieces round out the group. The Austrian National Team Softshell Jacket is rated 10,000 mm and 10K, Medium, and is sized XXS to XXL, at $640 at Coveti. The two quilted team jackets carry a water-repellent finish without a published water column, so treat them as cold-day layers and apres pieces. The Austrian version is rated Medium at $680 at Coveti, and the Slovenian one is rated Warm at $780 at Coveti. The matching team salopettes are covered in our guide to Colmar ski trousers and salopettes.
Fit and sizing
Colmar names three fits. Regular is the house standard. Comfort gives more room through the body and is used on the puffiest down jackets and the Padded 3L shell. Slim sits closest, and among these jackets it is not used at all, though it appears on some trousers.
Colmar sizes its jackets in Italian sizes 38 to 50. Coveti lists them on the UK ladder, so IT 38 is UK 6 and IT 50 is UK 18. Colmar matches IT 42 to FR and ES 38, DE 36 and US 6, which makes IT 42 a UK 10. Women’s models on Colmar’s pages are 173 to 177 cm tall and wear IT 42. The full chart is in our Colmar size guide.
Some skiers choose one size up in a Regular fit jacket to wear a fleece underneath. That is a personal call rather than a Colmar instruction, and a Comfort fit jacket already gives that room in your usual size.
Care
Most Colmar jackets machine wash at a maximum of 30 degrees C. Do not bleach them, do not tumble dry them and do not dry clean them. Detach the fur before washing on the trimmed styles.
Colmar ski jackets around the world
US buyers heading to the Rockies get the most from a Very Warm down jacket such as the Mirea Glossy in cold, dry snow. Colmar’s IT 42 equals US 6.
UK skiers often fly to the Alps for a week in February, when the weather can swing from deep cold to wet snow in two days. A 15,000 mm Warm jacket like the Yin & Yang covers that range. IT 42 is a UK 10.
EU buyers know Italian sizing already: IT 42 is FR and ES 38 and DE 36. For spring skiing in the Dolomites and the Tyrol, the 3L shells with a light fleece are a good fit for long, sunny days.
GCC buyers who train at Ski Dubai and then travel to the Alps, Japan and the Rockies should think in two climates. Indoor slopes stay cold and steady, so a Medium jacket is enough there, while a Very Warm down jacket earns its place on the trip itself.

Which Colmar ski jacket to buy
Start with the weather you ski in. Cold, dry snow points to down: the Puffy Padded Ski Jacket for warmth with a high rating, the Ritmo Crop when you want 20,000 mm protection too. Wet, changeable snow points to the 20,000 mm pieces, and the Shaped Ski Jacket with Faux Fur is the warm choice there. If you ski off-piste and climb, take a 3L shell and build layers under it.
Trousers from the same Ritmo and Niseiko families make an easy set, and our guide to matching ski sets shows how. Every style is gathered on our Colmar brand page, alongside the full designer skiwear edit.

How we measured: waterproof rating, breathability, warmth level and insulation are the figures Colmar publishes on each product page (colmar.com, read on 1 November 2026). Colourways and prices are the Coveti catalogue on the same date. Where Colmar does not publish a figure, the cell says so. Nothing is estimated.
Frequently asked questions
Are Colmar ski jackets waterproof?
Yes, the rated Colmar ski jackets are waterproof to a published water column of 10,000 mm, 15,000 mm and 20,000 mm. Colmar calls 10,000 mm suitable for heavy rain. The two quilted national team jackets are the exception: they carry a water-repellent finish without a published water column, so they suit cold, dry days best.
What is the warmest Colmar ski jacket?
The warmest Colmar ski jackets are the nine styles rated Very Warm, eight jackets and one gilet, and all of them are down-filled. Among them, the Ritmo Crop Ski Down Jacket and the Ritmo Padded Ski Jacket with Belt add the highest rating of 20,000 mm and 20K, which makes them the pick for cold resorts with changeable weather.
Do Colmar jackets run small?
Colmar jackets follow Italian sizing, where IT 42 is a UK 10 and a US 6, and the house cuts them in Regular and Comfort fits. Comfort fit pieces give extra room through the body. Many skiers take their usual size in Comfort and consider one size up in Regular for a thick fleece underneath.
What does 3L mean on a ski shell jacket?
A 3L jacket is a three-layer shell, where the outer fabric, the waterproof membrane and an inner layer are bonded into one piece. Both Colmar 3L shells at Coveti are rated 20,000 mm and 20K. The Connected is rated Light and the Padded version Medium, so each relies on layers worn underneath.
Can you wash a down ski jacket at home?
Yes, most Colmar down jackets machine wash at a maximum of 30 degrees C. Colmar’s care notes rule out bleach, the tumble dryer and dry cleaning. Let the jacket dry fully in the air before you store it, and shake it out as it dries so the down spreads evenly.
Which Colmar jacket has a RECCO reflector?
Among the jackets at Coveti, only the Connected 3L Ski Shell Jacket carries a RECCO reflector, which Colmar lists on the product page. The jacket has a helmet-holder hood and is rated 20,000 mm and 20K, Light, in a Regular fit, and it costs $1,060 at Coveti.
