The Coveti Designer Index Q3 2026: seven findings from 23,175 designer styles

Coveti Intelligence has published the first edition of the Coveti Designer Index: a quarterly ranking of 87 designer maisons, built from the listed prices of 23,175 ready-to-wear styles tracked on our platform. The Index reports what designer fashion costs, where it is made and who commands couture prices, with every figure free for press to republish with attribution.

Seven findings from Q3 2026

1. Half of designer fashion now lists under $1,000. The market median is $990, and a quarter of styles list under $500.
2. The $10,000 club has 372 members across 35 maisons, topped by a $66,250 hand-finished leather gown from Gabriela Hearst.
3. Beirut and Dubai price like Paris. Middle East couture houses hold four of the top ten price positions, led by Tony Ward at No. 2, with Zuhair Murad, MarMar Halim and Gemy Maalouf close behind.
4. Australia is the largest national bloc on the Index, home to 17 of the 87 maisons, ahead of the United Kingdom with 16 and the United States with 13.
5. The dress is the economy: 35.2% of all tracked styles are dresses, at a median of $1,330, a 34% premium over the market.
6. Black leads at 19.5% of styles, but Multicolour sits close behind at 17.5%, and Ivory and White together take 16%.
7. A 27x spread separates the top of the ladder from the bottom: Schiaparelli at a median listed price of $9,435, Essentiel Antwerp at $350.

How the Index works

The Index ranks maisons by the median listed price of their current collection in US dollars. Every style is captured by Coveti’s assortment intelligence pipeline, deduplicated by SKU and recorded with its category, colour, composition and country of origin. Bags, shoes and accessories are excluded. The full methodology, the sortable 87-maison table and the downloadable dataset live on the Index page.

The Index is republished each season. The next edition arrives in October 2026, when rank movement tracking begins.
