Leo Lin x Barbie x Megan Hess: The 8-Piece Pink Collection, Explained

0

Leo Lin has spent close to a decade building a name on colour, and its newest drop takes that to its logical end. The LEO LIN x Barbie x Megan Hess collection is eight pieces, all of them pink, all of them finished with bows. It landed on the brand’s site in September 2026, and Coveti now carries the full collection.

This guide covers what the collection is, the eight pieces one by one, how the sizing works and how to wear that much pink without looking like a costume.

What is the Leo Lin x Barbie x Megan Hess collection?

It is a three-way collaboration. Leo Lin, the Sydney label founded by designer Leo Lin in 2017, designed the clothes. Barbie lends the name and the shade. Megan Hess, the Australian fashion illustrator known for her work with luxury houses, drew the illustrations that run through the campaign.

The brief is simple: one colour, one motif. Every piece is cut in the same clear pink, and every piece carries a bow, from the oversized bow on the Chelsea mini to the line of small bows down the front of the Teresa maxi. Fabrics are where the collection earns its place: pure silk on the Liana maxi, the Juno pants and the Dressage blouse, a silk and linen blend on the Marisol midi, and a wool and silk blend on the Annika blazer.

Leo Lin says it gives an illustrated scarf with each Barbie collection purchase from its own store and donates 10% of those sales to the McGrath Foundation, the Australian breast cancer care charity. Both are Leo Lin offers on its own site. They do not come with orders placed through Coveti.

The eight pieces in the collection

1. Leo Lin Chelsea Bow Mini Dress in Pink

The easiest way in. An oversized bow sits across a straight neckline, and a crinoline hem holds the trapeze shape away from the body. It is the lightest piece in the collection and the one most likely to be worn again.

2. Leo Lin Marisol Bow Midi Dress in Pink

A silk and linen blend with a boned bodice, a sweetheart neckline and handcrafted bows running down the skirt. The fabric is the giveaway: this is the daytime dress, built for a garden wedding.

3. Leo Lin Erika Twist Bodice Bow Midi Dress in Pink

Slim long sleeves, a twisted sweetheart bodice and bows at the bust and hem. A little stretch in the weave makes it the most comfortable dress in the edit for a long day.

4. Leo Lin Teresa Bow Tiered Maxi Dress in Pink

The most romantic piece. Sheer bishop sleeves, a deep V closed with a line of bows and a tiered ruffle skirt in a rayon and silk blend. A slip comes included.

5. Leo Lin Liana Bow Off Shoulder Maxi Dress in Pink

Pure silk, a ruffled off-shoulder neckline and full puff sleeves, with bows scattered down a relaxed skirt. This is the evening dress, made for a summer wedding.

6. Leo Lin Annika Bow Blazer in Pink

Tailoring in a wool and silk blend: a notched lapel, a fitted waist and bows over the front and sleeves. It is the piece that turns the dresses into outfits for cooler evenings.

7. Leo Lin Dressage Silk Organza Tie Blouse in Pink

Sheer silk organza with a high collar and a bow at the throat, worn over the slip it comes with. It is one half of the only set in the collection.

8. Leo Lin Juno Pleated Pants in Pink

Pure silk wide-leg pants with front pleats and a low waist, finished with a matching bow belt. Pair them with the Dressage blouse for the set, then with the Annika blazer for a full pink suit.

How does the Leo Lin Barbie collection fit?

Leo Lin sizes in AU, which reads the same as UK: an AU 8 is a UK 8 and a US 4. The brand does not flag any piece in this collection as running small, so take your usual size. The model on the product pages is 176 cm and wears a size 8. The bodice dresses, Marisol and Erika, are the ones to be most careful with, because a boned, fitted bodice leaves less room at the bust than a relaxed shape like Chelsea. Between two sizes, go up and have the waist taken in. Our full Leo Lin size guide covers the conversion in detail.

How to wear head-to-toe pink

The collection is designed to be worn all at once, and that is the hardest way to wear it. Three rules keep it grown-up.

Keep the accessories neutral. Nude, white and gold sit quietly against this pink. A second shade of pink in the shoes fights it.

Let one bow lead. Every piece has bows. Wear one bow-heavy piece at a time and keep the jewellery small, so the bows read as design, not decoration.

Break up the suit. The Annika blazer, Dressage blouse and Juno pants work as a full look, but the blazer over straight blue jeans and the blouse tucked into a white skirt are the outfits you will wear most.
