Leo Lin Resort 2027 Sojourn: The Prints, the Pieces and What to Buy First

0

Leo Lin Resort 2027, a collection the brand calls Sojourn, is its largest drop of the season: 56 pieces across 28 dresses and a full wardrobe of separates, now at Coveti in UK sizes. It runs on three new prints, a deep Mahogany worked mostly in vegan suede, and a Midnight story in tweed, wool and silk linen. Prices at Coveti run from $830 to $2,600.

This is the edit: what the prints look like, which pieces carry the most hand work, how the sizing runs and what to buy first. For the house itself, start with who Leo Lin is.

The three Resort 2027 prints

Posy Print, in Snow and Mint

Posy is the most wearable print of the collection. Small bunches of pink, red and yellow flowers scatter over a snow white ground, and over a soft mint in the second colourway, so it reads fresh from a distance and detailed up close. Leo Lin put it on 19 pieces, from the Katrina Butterfly Sleeve Midi Dress to the Zinnia Maxi Skirt, so a matching set is easy to build.

Reverie Print, in Nectar

Reverie is a painterly red rose on a soft peach called Nectar. Some pieces carry it as an all-over print, like the Katrina midi and the June Pleated Maxi Skirt. Others keep the peach plain and place a single hand-worked rose across the bodice, which is the more striking choice: see the Rayna Embroidered Bustier Maxi Dress and the Elara Wool Coat.

Rose, in Periwinkle

The third story is a tall, painted rose in pink, peach and lilac climbing up a pale periwinkle base. It is embroidered rather than printed, so it has real depth on the Ali Embroidered Boat Neck Mini Dress and the Mila Embroidered Mini Dress. Solid Periwinkle pieces, such as the Kyra Petal Maxi Skirt, let you wear the colour without the flower.

The solids: Mahogany and Midnight

Mahogany is a deep wine red. Most of it is vegan suede, finished with laser-cut flowers and hand-sewn beading, and it also comes as a silk shirt and a viscose gown. The Cleo Appliqué Vegan Suede Midi Dress and the Vienna jacket are the pieces to know, and the Dahlia Petal Gown is the evening statement of the drop.

Midnight is a deep navy and the most versatile colour here. It covers tailoring like the Lisa Appliqué Tweed Blazer and the Elisha Tweed Wide Leg Pants, an airy silk linen Elsie Flutter Sleeve Midi Dress, and the Elara Appliqué Wool Coat.

What to buy first

How Resort 2027 fits

Leo Lin describes most of the collection as true to size, and on most dresses it notes a structured fabric with no stretch, so check your bust and waist against the brand’s measurements. Three exceptions are worth knowing. The Claire knit cardigans run small, and the brand suggests sizing up. The Elisha pants run large, and the brand recommends sizing down. The two Elara coats come in S, M and L only. Leo Lin’s AU sizes match UK sizes, so an AU 8 is a UK 8 and a US 4. The full conversion is in the Leo Lin size guide.
