Herno Dark Taupe Resort Blazer in Soft Wool-Effect Jersey, Men’s Beige Jackets
The Herno Dark Taupe Resort Blazer in Soft Wool-Effect Jersey is an authentic men’s Jackets from the Herno Fall Winter 2026 collection, in 80% polyester, 10% viscose, 10% acetate. Coveti stocks it with guaranteed authenticity and worldwide shipping. Herno was founded in 1948 in Lesa, on the shore of Lake Maggiore in northern Italy, and it started out making raincoats. Today the house is best known for lightweight down jackets, technical parkas and tailored outerwear that look smart enough for town and still handle the weather.
Herno has made outerwear on the shores of Lake Maggiore since 1948, and the Resort Blazer in Soft Wool-Effect Jersey carries that expertise. Blazer with a soft, comfortable feel that gives a natural wool-like texture. This effect comes from the technique used, known as needling, which uses special needles to interlock the fibres. The jersey gives the fabric elasticity. Details include classic lapels, welt breast pocket, patch pockets and slits at the back. It works over a shirt in the office and a T-shirt at the weekend. Made in Italy.

About Herno
Herno was founded in 1948 by Giuseppe Marenzi and his wife Alessandra Diana in Lesa, a small town in Piedmont on Lake Maggiore. The name comes from the Erno, the river that runs through Lesa into the lake. The first Herno pieces were raincoats in cotton treated with castor oil, made for a damp lakeside climate. Through the 1950s the company added cashmere coats, and in 1968 it opened stores in Osaka and Tokyo. For years it also made outerwear for other luxury houses before putting its own name first.
From the 1980s Herno built its reputation on down jackets and parkas in very light nylon, filled with natural down. Claudio Marenzi, the founders’ son, took over in 2007 and refocused the business on the Herno label, with a technical line called Laminar alongside the main collection. The Lesa headquarters now runs largely on its own solar power. Since 2020 the house has added knitwear, accessories and trainers, so a full Herno wardrobe now goes well beyond the coat.
“Herno is the quiet answer to winter dressing. The Dark Taupe Resort Blazer in Soft Wool-Effect Jersey is the kind of piece a man buys once and wears for years, because it looks considered over a suit and relaxed over a knit.”
Gemma Deeks, Fashion Editor at Coveti
How Herno Compares
Men weighing up the Herno Dark Taupe Resort Blazer in Soft Wool-Effect Jersey usually compare it with a few other outerwear names.
Moncler is the best-known luxury down brand, and its pieces are bolder and more logo-led. Herno keeps the branding to a small metal plate and puts the emphasis on fabric and cut.
Canada Goose is built for extreme cold first, so it is heavier and more expedition in feel, where Herno is lighter and designed for the city.
Brunello Cucinelli shares the Italian quiet-luxury approach at a higher price, with more emphasis on cashmere tailoring than technical outerwear.
