Saint Laurent Size Guide: Clothing, Jeans and Shoe Sizes Converted

Clothing: French to UK and US

Saint Laurent ready-to-wear runs on French sizes. FR 34 is a UK 6 and a US 2, FR 36 a UK 8 and US 4, FR 38 a UK 10 and US 6, FR 40 a UK 12 and US 8, and FR 42 a UK 14 and US 10. Coveti shows the UK size in the size selector and the French size in the product notes.

Letter sizes

Knitwear, jersey and some tops use letters. XS sits around a UK 6 to 8, S a UK 8 to 10, M a UK 10 to 12 and L a UK 12 to 14. Saint Laurent jersey is cut close, so a fitted T-shirt is meant to sit on the body.

Jeans

Shoes

Saint Laurent shoes use European sizes, usually 34 to 42 with half sizes. As a guide, EU 36 is a UK 3, EU 37 a UK 4, EU 38 a UK 5, EU 39 a UK 6 and EU 40 a UK 7. Pointed stilettos and closed slingbacks are narrow at the toe, so if you sit between two sizes take the larger one.

How Saint Laurent fits, by category

Jackets and blazers are cut close at the waist with a built shoulder. If you are broad through the shoulder, size up, because the shoulder cannot be let out. Trousers are high at the waist and long in the leg, often designed to be worn with a heel.
