Alaia uses French sizes for clothing, Italian EU sizes for shoes and centimetres for belts. Clothing sizes

Alaia ready-to-wear uses French sizing. The table converts it to UK, US and Italian sizes.

Alaia knitwear is designed to sit close to the body; the fit of each piece is described in its size and fit note. Where the house publishes the model measurements, Coveti lists them: for example, the model wearing the Wool Scarf Coat is 181 cm tall and wears FR 34.

Alaia publishes fit advice on some of its shoes, and Coveti repeats it on each product page. Alaia recommends taking half a size down in its fishnet ballet flats: the plain fishnet, strass fishnet, fishnet and suede and fishnet and crocodile pairs. It recommends half a size up in the paper straw ballet flat. It recommends one size up in the Le Coeur Slingbacks 90, the Le Coeur Mules, the Cube Mules and Cube Wedge Mules, and the Slippers Vienne. Every other style carries no fit advice, so take your usual EU size.

Belt sizes
