The Brunello Cucinelli Winter Edit, Explained

The Brunello Cucinelli Winter Edit is the Italian house’s cold-weather capsule for men and women, pairing city tailoring with mountain materials such as cashmere, alpaca, shearling and suede. Coveti now carries 51 men’s Winter Edit pieces, the first Brunello Cucinelli menswear on the site, from men’s knitwear to boots, plus new women’s boots, heels and bags.

What is the Brunello Cucinelli Winter Edit?

Winter Edit is the brand’s own name for the capsule, and it appears on both its women’s and men’s sites. The idea is easy to picture: the clothes you would wear to a chalet, made with the polish of the clothes you would wear to a city office. On the men’s side, the brand describes urban elegance meeting mountain inspiration, from tailored suits to outerwear, knitwear and trousers, with footwear and bags to finish. Technical materials and thermal padding sit next to pinstripe, Prince of Wales and Argyle patterns.

The women’s edit follows the same logic in cashmere, mohair, wool, silk and shearling, in a palette of neutrals and browns, with suede boots, compact bags and monili, the fine chains of shiny metal beads the house sews along lapels, straps and shoe edges. If you are new to the label, our guide to Brunello Cucinelli menswear explains the men’s line, and the earlier Brunello Cucinelli Fall Winter 2026 edit covers the wider season.

Which fabrics define the Winter Edit?

Read the composition labels and the capsule tells its own story. These are the fibres in the pieces we stock.

  • Cashmere: the crew neck, turtleneck, cardigan and knit polo are 100% cashmere; the half zip is 76% cashmere and 24% silk.
  • Alpaca: the alpaca-blend and Argyle sweaters are 55% alpaca, 25% nylon, 14% cashmere and 6% wool, and the Chevron coat mixes virgin wool, alpaca and nylon.
  • Wool, silk and cashmere flannel: the chalk stripe Tailor blazer and trousers are 89% wool, 6% silk and 5% cashmere.
  • Cashmere and silk: the chalk stripe chevron outerwear jacket is 65% cashmere and 35% silk.
  • Silk: the tuxedo jacket and double-pleated tuxedo trousers are 100% silk.
  • Shearling, suede and nubuck: gloves, boots, the biker jacket, the bomber and the bags.
  • Technical: the stretch bonded nylon parka has lightweight Thermore padding, a synthetic insulation, and a shearling insert on the hood.

The men’s Winter Edit: mountain meets city

The clearest expression of the theme is a pairing. Take the Stretch bonded nylon parka in off-white, a technical coat with a shearling insert on the hood, and wear it over the Chalk stripe flannel Tailor blazer in dark grey. One is built for a cold street, the other for a meeting, and the edit treats them as natural partners. The suits and blazers guide covers that tailoring in detail.

The knitwear carries the pattern work. The Argyle intarsia sweater in dark grey is the most direct mountain reference, a diamond pattern that suits corduroy and denim. For something quieter, the Cashmere turtleneck sweater in Panama replaces a shirt under any of the jackets.

Outerwear and coats give the choice between texture and polish. The Chevron coat in dark grey has the depth of a country cloth, while the Nubuck shirt-style bomber jacket in rust brown is the piece to throw over a knit at the weekend. Down below, the Suede mountain-style boots in dark grey and the shearling gloves in sand finish the look. For travel there is the nubuck Country Weekender bag. The boots get a full write-up in our Brunello Cucinelli boots guide.

The women’s Winter Edit: boots, heels and compact bags

The new women’s pieces are the accessories that hold an outfit together. The Suede boots with monili in coffee carry the house signature along the edge, while the Suede and shearling boots in light brown are the chalet pair. There are also suede and knit boots in pepper and leather boots in black, all listed in EU sizes 35 to 41, which you can browse with the rest of the women’s designer boots.

For evening, the Lame leather slingback heels in bronze bring a little shine to a grey flannel trouser. The bags stay small: the Shearling explorer small belted bag in brown, the sparkling textured leather BC Duo bag and pouch bag in bark, and the knit and suede sartorial backpack in pepper, knitted in a mohair, nylon and wool blend.

What colours are in the Winter Edit?

The palette is narrow on purpose. The men’s pieces sit in dark grey, anthracite, stone grey, Panama, light brown, rust brown, navy, off-white and white. The women’s pieces stay in coffee, light brown, pepper, bark, black and bronze. Because the shades overlap, almost every top works with every trouser, and that is the point of a capsule.

How should you wear the Brunello Cucinelli Winter Edit?

  • City: chalk stripe flannel trousers, the cashmere turtleneck in Panama, the Chevron coat and suede Derbys.
  • Weekend: no-fade denim, the Argyle sweater, the nubuck bomber and the mountain-style boots.
  • Chalet dinner: corduroy trousers in white, the alpaca-blend sweater and the Tailor blazer, with shearling gloves for the walk over.
  • Women, town to mountain: the suede and shearling boots with tailored trousers and the shearling belted bag worn across the body.

I like the Winter Edit most when one technical piece meets one tailored piece; the contrast is what makes it look current. For sizing, see the Brunello Cucinelli men’s size guide and, for women, the existing Brunello Cucinelli size guide.
