The house started in knitwear in 1985, and its accessories still come from that knitting tradition. Platinum

Platinum is the house’s own exclusive yarn: 75% virgin wool, 15% silk and 10% cashmere. Virgin wool is wool spun for the first time, which gives warmth and spring. Silk adds sheen and drape. Cashmere, the undercoat of the cashmere goat, adds softness at the skin. This season Platinum makes the beanies, the short gloves, the maxi scarf and the turtleneck bib.

Sequin yarn

The sequin pieces are knitted from 48% virgin wool, 20% silk, 17% cashmere, 11% mohair and 4% polyester, with sequins carried in the yarn. Mohair, from the Angora goat, gives a soft halo. The beanies, the stole and the black triangular scarf use this blend; the green and Cacha triangle scarves swap the mohair for alpaca, which is warm and light.

Wool and cashmere with lurex, and silk twill

The woven scarves are 79% virgin wool, 14% cashmere, 4% cupro and 3% polyester, with a thread of lurex for a faint shimmer. The silk scarves are 100% silk twill, a diagonal weave that gives silk a fluid fall, printed with the placed Thread Blossom motif in light blue, red and white.

Leather, suede, flannel and metal

The belts are leather and suede, lined in leather. The baseball cap is the house’s pinstripe flannel, 94% virgin wool, 4% elastane, 1% alpaca and 1% mohair. Flannel is a brushed wool weave, and pinstripe is the fine stripe on a dark ground from city tailoring. The filo diamante knot earrings and necklace are eco brass with a nickel finish; the knot earrings in gold tone are nickel free.

Sizing and fit

The scarves, stoles, beanies, the turtleneck bib, the alpaca and wool cape and the jewellery are all one size. The gloves, belts and the pinstripe flannel cap come in S, M and L. The house publishes no advice to size up and down, so choose your usual letter size. How to care for knits, sequins, silk and jewellery

The Platinum labels ask for a cool hand wash and drying flat, with delicate dry cleaning allowed on most. Wash in cool water with a wool detergent, press the water out in a towel without wringing, and dry flat away from heat. Fold knits; never hang them.

Sequins catch light and should not be ironed directly. Turn a sequin piece inside out and steam it from a distance if it needs it. Silk twill is best dry cleaned and pressed on a low setting through a cloth. Keep the jewellery dry, away from perfume, and store each piece in its own pouch so the filo diamante finish does not scratch. Suede belts mark with water, so brush them after wear.
