Bernadette trades as Bernadette Antwerp and is the Antwerp label founded in 2018 by Charlotte de Geyter with her mother, Bernadette de Geyter. Charlotte trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and is the creative director. She draws the house prints by hand, and the botanicals that come out of that, Lingerie Roses, hydrangea, delphinium, cherries and blackberries, are what the label is recognised for, usually in saturated colour. The collections run across ready-to-wear, accessories and homeware, and the accessories are made where the craft sits: embroidery in India, silk printing in Italy, shoes in Italy, knitting in China. A print belongs to the collection it was drawn for, so a colourway that sells through is rarely repeated.
