About Savette
Savette is a New York leather goods label founded in 2020 by Amy Zurek, who trained in fine art and art history. The name was her mother’s maiden name. The bags are designed in New York and made by hand outside Florence, in a factory run by a family of third-generation artisans, from leathers sourced through Leather Working Group certified tanneries. Savette is known for strict, architectural shapes and the sculptural Symmetry turnlock, and the collection is deliberately small: Symmetry, Tondo, Florence and Anello.
“Savette is one of the few new labels whose bags look better after a year of use. The Macrame Pouch in Coffee has no logo to date it, just the lines and the hardware.”
Gemma Deeks, Fashion Editor at Coveti
How Savette Compares
Shoppers looking at the Savette Macrame Pouch often compare it with the quiet leather bags of
The Row,
Khaite and
DeMellier.
Savette sits between them on price, with Italian handwork and very little branding.
