Which types of Safiyaa cape dress are there?

There are six distinct cape constructions in the current Coveti edit, and each changes how the dress moves.

Split cape: the Ginevra

The Ginevra is the Safiyaa split-cape gown and the one we recommend first. The floor-length heavy crepe body is long-sleeved in several colourways, and the cape divides into two panels from the shoulders so it moves when you walk. Floor-length cape: the Harley

From the Resort 2026 collection, the Harley has a square neckline with bow accents and a full cape that falls from the shoulders to the floor. It is the most dramatic back view in the edit and suits a long staircase.

Structured cape: the Onaise and the Rionaise

These two arrived in the third Autumn/Winter 2026 drop in September. The Onaise is a heavy crepe column under a structured Tech Duchess cape with a maritime navy interior. Caped sleeves and asymmetric capes

The Rinna, from Autumn/Winter 2025, has an asymmetric off-shoulder line and caped sleeves in all black. The Oria uses a pleated asymmetric cape on a cocktail dress, a good choice when a full gown is too much. Which caped Safiyaa gowns has Meghan worn?

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has worn two caped Safiyaa gowns on royal duty, and both put the shape in front of a global audience.

The Devon Cape in Black ($1,945) is a cropped cocoon shape with rounded shoulders that sits just above the elbow and fastens with a concealed front closure. The Palmer Cape in Yellow Gold ($1,945) is cropped with sculpted shoulders and a hook-and-eye front. Both turn a simple strapless column into a caped look, and both work over tailoring. Safiyaa notes “Fits true to size” on most styles. On the brand chart FR36 equals US4 and UK8, and FR40 equals US8 and UK12.
