Safiyaa Reviews 2026: Fit, Fabric, Quality and Value

0

Our Safiyaa review: the London eveningwear label delivers on structure, fit and value, with a stretch heavy crepe that holds sharp lines and a true to size fit note on most styles. The trade-offs are dry clean only care, four to six week waits on made-to-order styles and no current sale. Coveti stocks more than 1,400 Safiyaa pieces.

This is an editor’s review, built on the brand’s own specifications, its size chart and what we see across the Safiyaa range we carry. We have not invented customer quotes, and we would be wary of any review that leans on anonymous testimonials. Here is how the label scores on the things buyers actually ask about.

Is Safiyaa good quality?

Yes. Safiyaa quality comes from tailoring: the label grew out of a made-to-measure business and still cuts like one.

Founder Daniela Karnuts started with tailored, made-to-measure clothing for women from a studio in Mayfair, London, before launching Safiyaa in 2011 with 12 designs. She describes the label as “demi-couture at a ready-to-wear price point”. On the rail, that translates into capes that fall cleanly from the shoulder, detachable belts such as the Jonia Belt and embellishment placed with restraint at the neck, cuff and hem. A piece like the Mirabella Long Dress in Soft Sky with Embellished Belt shows the approach: a clean crepe body, with the decoration concentrated on a detachable belt.

The royal record is a useful quality check too. A dress that photographs well from every angle at a state dinner has to be well made, and Safiyaa has been chosen by both the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex. The dated list is in who wears Safiyaa.

Does Safiyaa fit true to size?

Safiyaa’s own fit note on most styles reads “Fits true to size”, and the label uses French sizing.

The house model is 175cm (5 ft 9 in) and wears FR36. Coveti lists Safiyaa clothing in UK sizes, so use the brand chart below to convert:

Safiyaa (FR) US UK
FR34 US2 UK6
FR36 US4 UK8
FR38 US6 UK10
FR40 US8 UK12
FR42 US10 UK14
FR44 US12 UK16
FR46 US14 UK18
FR48 US16 UK20

Gloves and belts come in XS to XL. The Ridley Belt in Black runs S to L, where Small fits FR34 to FR38 and Medium fits FR40 to FR44. With long dresses, the model’s 175cm height is your best length guide. If you sit between sizes, contact the Coveti team before ordering and we will help you choose. What is Safiyaa fabric like?

The signature fabric is a stretch heavy crepe of 92% polyester and 8% elastane, chosen for weight and structure.

If you are expecting silk, recalibrate. The heavy crepe is the reason the clothes keep their architecture: a cape needs weight to fall straight, and a one-shoulder neckline needs body to stay where it is put. The elastane adds stretch, so the fit is close without being rigid. A plain crepe style such as the Fiora Long Dress in Black shows the fabric at its simplest.

Accessories use Tech Duchess satin, a structured satin you will find on the Autumn/Winter 2026 Elda Gloves in Black with Crystal.

How do you care for Safiyaa?

The crepe and embellished pieces are dry clean only.

Use a specialist cleaner for anything with crystal and feathers, and store long dresses on a padded hanger with capes allowed to hang free. Detachable belts should come off before cleaning and storage, which also protects the embellishment. Pieces with feather trims, like the Ripa Midi Dress in Black with Feathers, are best kept in a breathable garment bag.

Is Safiyaa worth the price?

Safiyaa is worth it if you will wear the piece more than once; it is harder to justify for a single event.

On Safiyaa.com, new-in pieces run from roughly GBP 445 for a crepe skirt to GBP 3,195 for an embellished gown, with most long dresses at GBP 1,395 to 2,995. On Coveti, the typical Safiyaa long dress is around $2,746, with separates such as the Marta Ivory Skirt at $552. A black long dress, a maritime blue gown like the Laverna Long Dress in Maritime Blue and a red midi from the designer midi dresses edit, such as the Cecilia Dress in Cherry Red, are the kind of pieces that earn their keep across years of weddings and galas. What should you know about Safiyaa pre-order?

Some Safiyaa styles are made to order, with dispatch in four to six weeks.

Build that into your timeline for weddings and black tie events, and leave room for any tailoring after delivery. The product page tells you when a style is made to order. New arrivals, such as the Avery Midi Dress in Rhubarb, are worth ordering early. See the full season in our Safiyaa Autumn/Winter 2026 edit.
