Superattico10 is the capsule The Attico made for its tenth birthday, and it is the most concentrated dose of the label in years: feathers, sequins, crystal jersey, sheer tulle, the robe dress that started it all, and a new bag. What Superattico10 is

Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini founded The Attico in 2016 with robes and slip dresses, and Superattico10 goes back to that wardrobe with ten years of practice behind it. Ambrosio put it simply at the launch: “With Superattico10, we wanted to revisit the spirit that has defined The Attico since the beginning.” The capsule does not reissue archive pieces; it reworks the codes. The dressing gown comes back as a jacquard robe mini dress with a shawl collar and pink piping. The knotted jersey that runs through the label comes back as a crystal knot maxi and its mini. Feathers come back on a georgette gown whose plumes hang from glittering strands to the floor.

The eveningwear

Most of the capsule is built for night. The embellished halterneck satin gown is a viscose satin column with an embroidered bodice and a cut-out neckline. The silver sequin halterneck has an open back and a slit, and is the most old Hollywood thing the house has made. The cutout crepe jersey maxi wraps the body and falls to a handkerchief hem. For shorter lengths there is the jewelled wrap mini, set with glass, brass and silk embroidery, and a hot pink knotted satin mini that works over trousers. The tailoring

There is tailoring too. The cropped wool blazer is wool gabardine, boxy, with shoulder pads and wide peak lapels, and it pairs with the cummerbund wool maxi skirt, whose pleated sash comes from the tuxedo. The embroidered double-breasted coat is a dark grey wool blend with dropped shoulders and a cinched back, and the strapped satin bomber is the house utility jacket in double satin. The La Sant Ambroeus Mini and the bags

The new bag is the La Sant Ambroeus Mini, a domed top handle with an elongated handle, a zip that runs around the body and a removable crossbody strap, 24.5 cm high and 24 cm wide. The shoes

The shoes are where the capsule turns up the volume. The Ornella platform sandal comes back in black and fuchsia satin on a 14 cm heel. The Cheope thigh-high boot is stretch net to the thigh with a lace trim, on the house sculptural wedge, and the Cheope slingback is black tulle with soutache embroidery. What to buy first

If you buy one piece, buy the one that is most The Attico and least like anything else you own. For most people that is the robe mini dress: it is the founding idea of the label, it wears as a dress and as a jacket over trousers, and at $2,150 it sits in the middle of the capsule.
