The Row Coats: Every Winter 2026 Style, From Wool to Leather

0

A coat is where The Row makes its case most clearly. The house cuts outerwear long, wide in the shoulder and quiet in the details, then spends the money on the cloth. The Winter 2026 delivery now at The Row at Coveti brings five new coats and one jacket: a technical double-breasted trench, a cotton and cashmere car coat, a caped cotton coat, a silk moire overcoat and a tumbled leather coat. Here is what each one does, how it fits and which to choose.

Key facts

  • New coats at Coveti: Marciano, Everly, Ayana, Archa, Azurine, plus the Celinde Jacket
  • Fabrics: technical nylon, cotton and cashmere, cotton twill, silk moire, calfskin leather
  • Lengths: knee, mid-calf and ankle
  • Made in: Italy
  • Sizing: US 0 to 14 (UK 4 to 18), the leather coat in S to L

The short answer

For a coat to wear every day from October to March, choose the Everly. For rain and travel, the Marciano. For evening and occasion, the Archa. If you want one piece that will last decades and only get better, the Azurine in leather. For a classic black wool coat, the house’s Bamira and Ciara remain in stock.

The Row coats for Winter 2026

1. Everly Coat

Single-breasted car coat in lightweight cotton and cashmere gabardine with raglan construction, slant welt pockets, elongated sleeves, and concealed front placket with horn button closure. 85% Cotton, 15% Cashmere, made in Italy. This style has an oversized fit and falls to the mid-calf. This is the coat I would buy first. The cotton and cashmere cloth is light enough for autumn, and the oversized cut leaves room for a heavy knit underneath.

2. Marciano Coat

Double-breasted trench coat in lightweight technical fabric with buttoned epaulettes, side welt pockets, center back hem vent, and removable buckle belt with horn button closure. 80% Polyester, 20% Polyamide, made in Italy. This style has an oversized fit and falls to the mid-calf. Technical nylon makes this the practical choice: it shrugs off rain, packs into a suitcase and still looks like tailoring.

3. Ayana Coat

Single-breasted trench coat in brushed cotton twill with detachable capelet, pleated sleeve with wide cuff, and removable buckle belt. 99% Cotton, 1% Elastane, made in Italy. This knee-length style features elongated sleeves and has a relaxed fit with a subtly flared hem. The cape across the shoulders gives a plain black coat a shape you will not see elsewhere this season.

4. Archa Coat

Double-breasted trench coat in silk moire with slant welt pockets, removable buckle belt, two hook and eyes closures at front neck, and horn buttons. 100% Silk, made in Italy. This style has an oversized fit and falls to the ankle. Silk moire has a watermark sheen that moves in the light, so this is the coat for dinners, the opera and anything after dark.

5. Azurine Coat

Collarless coat in supple calfskin leather with round neckline, structured shoulders, side seam pockets, and open front. 100% Calfskin Leather, made in Italy. This style has a boxy fit and falls to the knee. Baby calfskin, tumbled until it is soft, with a full silk lining. Leather like this improves with age, which makes it the long-term buy.

6. Celinde Jacket

Tailored single-breasted jacket in stretch wool with lightly padded shoulders, velvet-trimmed notch collar with ribbon tie, and concealed center front hook and eye closure. 98% Wool, 2% Elastane, made in Italy. This style features bracelet-length sleeves and has a narrow fit. Not a coat but the house jacket of the season, narrow and short, with bracelet-length sleeves that show a cuff underneath.

The black wool coat

Black wool coat for women is one of the most searched outerwear terms of the season, and The Row makes the version many others copy. The Bamira Coat and the Ciara Coat are already at Coveti in black: long, clean and without visible hardware. Wear either over a turtleneck and a wide trouser, with a flat shoe. How do The Row coats fit?

The Row cuts its coats generously on purpose. Most styles are oversized, and the house describes the fit on every piece: the Marciano and the Everly fall to mid-calf, the Archa to the ankle, the Ayana and the Azurine to the knee. Take your usual size; the volume is designed in, and sizing down tends to pull the shoulders out of line. The ready-to-wear sizes are US 0 to 14, which Coveti lists as UK 4 to 18, so a US 4 is a UK 8. The Azurine is sized S to L. If you are petite, have a coat shortened at the hem rather than sizing down. Full details are in our The Row size guide.

How to style a The Row coat

The house look is long over long: a coat that covers most of a trouser, with only the shoe showing. Under the Everly, wear the Olmi Turtleneck and the Carlie Pant. Under the Archa, a black column such as the Aura Dress. The Marciano wants denim and a Theo Moccasin. Leave the coat open; The Row designs most of them to be worn that way. For the knitwear to layer underneath, read The Row sweaters and cashmere guide.

Why are The Row coats so expensive?

The fabric is chosen before the design, much of it is developed with Italian mills for the house, and production runs are small. Silk moire and baby calfskin are costly materials in any hands. There is also no visible branding to carry the price, so the value has to be in the cut and the cloth. For the detail, read why The Row is so expensive.

Frequently asked questions

Do The Row coats run big?

The Row coats are cut oversized by design, so they look big on the hanger. Take your usual size, because the volume is part of the design and sizing down can pull the shoulders out of place.

What sizes do The Row coats come in?

Most come in US 0 to 14, which Coveti lists as UK 4 to 18. The Azurine leather coat is sized S, M and L.

Where are The Row coats made?

All the Winter 2026 coats at Coveti are made in Italy.

Which The Row coat is best for rain?

The Marciano Coat, in technical nylon, is the most weather-resistant. The Everly, in cotton and cashmere, is the best everyday coat for dry autumn and winter days.

Does The Row make a leather coat?

Yes. The Azurine Coat is tumbled baby calfskin leather, fully lined in silk, with a boxy fit that falls to the knee.
