16Arlington Co-ords and Matching Separates: Every Set, and How to Split Them

16Arlington designs many of its pieces in matching fabrics, so a top and a skirt, and a shirt and a trouser, can be worn together as a set and then split up. For Autumn/Winter 2026 the sets come in navy and black sequin fringe, navy velvet trimmed with feathers, black devore and leopard-print chiffon. The Spring/Summer 2026 sets, in Japanese satin with scalloped lace and in stonewash denim, are still running. Here is every 16Arlington co-ord at Coveti, how each one is built, and how to wear the pieces apart.

Key facts

  • 16Arlington calls these matching separates: tops, skirts and trousers cut from the same fabric within a season.
  • Autumn/Winter 2026 sets: fringe sequin (Auro top and Dia skirt), navy velvet (Tio shirt and Joelle trouser), black devore (Olall top and Rocco trouser), leopard chiffon (Olyss top and Rocco trouser).
  • Spring/Summer 2026 sets: the satin-and-lace Clio top, Ricci trouser and Filipa cardigan, and the denim Jolie jacket with the Junia and Kia trousers.
  • Each piece is sold separately, so a set can be bought in two sizes.

Why a set works at 16Arlington

A matching top and skirt gives the length and line of a gown with more flexibility, and it is the most economical way into the label’s embellished fabrics. Because every piece is sold on its own, the top and bottom can be bought in different sizes, which suits anyone whose upper and lower halves sit across two sizes. The house also designs the pieces to stand alone: the velvet Tio shirt works with denim, the devore Rocco trouser works with a plain black knit, and the fringe Dia skirt is just as good with a white shirt.

The fringe sequin set

The most dramatic set of the season is cut from a bespoke fabric of rows of navy and black sequin fringe. It moves with every step and reads close to black from a distance.

1. Auro Top in Black and Navy

A high-necked top with a draped scarf, fully covered in the navy and black fringe. Wear it with the skirt for a party, and with black tailored trousers for a dinner.

2. Dia Midi Skirt in Black and Navy

The matching skirt, semi-sheer under the fringe and finished at the ankle with a handmade beaded trim. It falls to the ankle, so it reads as a gown when worn with the top.

The navy velvet set

3. Tio Shirt in Navy

Smooth navy velvet in a relaxed, elongated shirt inspired by 1970s tailoring, with a pointed collar and voluminous feather cuffs.

4. Joelle Trouser in Navy

The matching wide-leg trouser in the same navy velvet, finished with a band of ostrich feathers at the hem. Relaxed through the leg.

The black devore set

5. Olall Top in Black Devore

Black devore with a high neck and long sleeves. The fabric is a blend of viscose, silk and lurex with a plush pattern over a sheer ground and a soft shimmer.

6. Rocco Trouser in Black

The matching wide-leg trouser in the same black devore, with an elasticated waist and in-seam pockets. Lined.

The leopard chiffon set

7. Olyss Top in Leopard Speckle

A funnel-neck top in leopard-print chiffon with long sleeves finished in voluminous feather cuffs.

8. Rocco Trouser in Leopard Speckle

The Rocco wide-leg trouser in the same leopard speckle chiffon, lined, with an elasticated waist.

9. Clio Top in Leopard Speckle

A lighter option for the same set: the Clio camisole in leopard chiffon with scalloped lace, made for layering under a jacket.

The satin-and-lace set (Spring/Summer 2026)

The Spring/Summer 2026 collection built a whole family from crinkled Japanese satin trimmed with hand-applied scalloped lace, and the pieces mix across colours. The Clio top guide covers the camisole in depth.

10. Clio Top in Lilac

The lilac Clio camisole with a V neck and scalloped lace inserts.

11. Ricci Trouser in Lilac

The wide-leg Ricci trouser in lilac satin, inspired by vintage sleepwear, with lace at the hem and an elasticated waist.

12. Filipa Cardigan in Lilac

The Filipa cardigan in lilac crinkled satin with flared sleeves and metal-tipped ties, to layer over the set.

The denim set (Spring/Summer 2026)

13. Jolie Jacket in Blue Denim

Cropped blue denim with a chocolate leather buckle at the waist.

14. Junia Trouser in Blue Denim

A straight-leg stonewash denim trouser with a curved seam and hidden in-seam pockets.

15. Kia Trouser

A bootcut denim trouser with a crinkled satin overlay trimmed in lace.

How to split a set

The rule that works is to keep one half of the set and swap the other for something plain. The fringe Auro top goes with black wool trousers such as the Riva and Romano; the Dia skirt goes with a fine black knit. The velvet Tio shirt is good over the Ofanto crepe skirt, and the devore Rocco trouser pairs with the silk Lambro tie top. The only combination that rarely works is two different embellishments at once, so keep feathers and fringe apart.

Frequently asked questions

Does 16Arlington make matching sets?

Yes. Each season the house cuts tops, skirts and trousers from the same fabrics. For Autumn/Winter 2026 the sets are in sequin fringe, navy velvet, black devore and leopard chiffon.

Are 16Arlington co-ords sold as a set?

No. Each piece is sold separately, so you can buy the top and the bottom in different sizes, and wear each half on its own.

What goes with the 16Arlington Dia skirt?

The matching Auro fringe top for a party. For less formal evenings, a plain black knit, a white shirt and a fitted bodysuit all work.

Is the 16Arlington Rocco trouser available in more than one fabric?

Yes. The Rocco wide-leg trouser comes in black devore and in leopard-print chiffon for Autumn/Winter 2026, each with an elasticated waist and in-seam pockets.

How do 16Arlington trousers fit in a set?

The Joelle and Rocco are relaxed wide-leg shapes with easy waists, so they forgive a size difference better than the fitted skirts. Take your usual UK size.

Can I wear a 16Arlington co-ord to a wedding?

Yes. The fringe Auro top with the ankle-length Dia skirt reads as eveningwear, and the velvet Tio and Joelle set works for a winter wedding.
