16Arlington Coats and Jackets: The Rosalind, the Carter and Every Autumn/Winter 2026 Layer
16Arlington (also written 16 Arlington) makes its coats and jackets the way it makes its dresses: a clean, tailored shape carrying one extravagant detail. For Autumn/Winter 2026 that means a longline wool and cashmere coat with a detachable fringed scarf, a cropped lambskin jacket with shearling cuffs, a belted jacket in leopard-print pony and a collarless wool jacket with sequin crests. Here is every piece of 16Arlington outerwear at Coveti, with the fit and fabric of each.

- The Autumn/Winter 2026 collection was shown at London Fashion Week in February 2026 with pony hide, fringe and bugle-bead work on the rails.
How 16Arlington approaches outerwear
The house is best known for after-dark dressing, so its coats are built to go over eveningwear rather than to stand alone. The proportions are long and narrow, the fastenings are kept discreet, and the decoration goes where it will be seen above a table: at the collar, the cuff and the neckline. Marco Capaldo, who has designed the label alone since the death of his co-founder Kikka Cavenati in 2021, often makes that decoration removable. The Rosalind coat’s scarf comes off, and so does the Carter jacket’s shearling collar, which is the practical idea of the season: one layer that works for the office and for dinner.
The materials are serious. Wool and cashmere for the coat, lambskin for the cropped jacket, hair-on calfskin printed as leopard for the Nolan. These are pieces to keep for several winters, and the fit reflects it: tailored through the shoulder with enough room in the body for a knit underneath.
The coats and jackets
1. Rosalind Coat in Black
The house coat for Autumn/Winter 2026. Wool and cashmere in black, cut long to below the knee and closed with branded buttons. The detachable scarf is trimmed with sequin fringe, so the same coat reads as plain tailoring by day and as eveningwear once the scarf goes on. Fully lined.
2. Rosalind Coat in Camel
The same Rosalind in camel, with a silk-panelled scarf trimmed in fringe. Camel is the softer of the two and works over chocolate and ivory as easily as it does over black.
3. Carter Jacket in Black
A cropped jacket in supple black lambskin with oversized shearling cuffs and a full shearling collar that detaches. Belt detailing cinches the waist. Take the collar off and it becomes a neat leather jacket for daytime.
4. Nolan Jacket in Leopard Print
The signature jacket of the season: leopard-print pony skin, oversized lapels and a belted waist over a relaxed body. Fully lined. It goes over a black slip dress with no further effort and it lifts plain denim.
5. Jenna Jacket in Black
Collarless black wool and cashmere, cut slim and slightly cropped, with soft fringe at every edge and crests of elongated black sequins at the centre fastening. This is the jacket for a dinner where a dress feels too much.
6. Palmer Jacket
A cropped wrap jacket in vegetable-tanned leather with an oversized collar, a belted waist and jetted pockets. Cut oversized, and the leather softens and takes on a patina with wear.
7. Jolie Jacket in Blue Denim
Classic blue denim cropped at the waist and cinched with an elasticated back panel and a dark chocolate leather buckle. The plunging neckline buttons up, and the pointed collar and ruched sleeves give it more shape than a standard denim jacket.
8. Tawny Coat
A trench reworked in chocolate Japanese satin, cut oversized and long, with hand-applied scalloped lace at the hem. A light layer for the shoulder seasons and for evenings when a wool coat is too much.
Which one to buy
For a single investment, the Rosalind in black is the most versatile 16Arlington coat: it covers work, dinners and black tie, and the detachable scarf means it never looks like the same coat twice. The Carter is the choice for anyone who already owns a good black coat and wants a jacket with more character. The Nolan is the most 16Arlington of the group, the leopard pony that ran through the autumn runway, and it is the piece that turns a black dress into an outfit. The Jenna is the quiet one, tailoring with the fringe kept to the edges.
Sizing and fit
The Rosalind coats and the Jenna jacket come in S, M and L. The cut is regular through the body, so take your usual letter size and size up only if you plan to wear a heavy knit underneath. The Carter and Nolan follow the UK numeric scale and are cut for a regular fit; the model on the brand’s own pages is 178cm and wears a UK 8. The Palmer is cut oversized by design, so the usual size gives the intended slouch. The 16Arlington size guide covers UK, US and EU conversions in detail.
How to wear 16Arlington outerwear
Treat the coat as the frame for the outfit. The Rosalind with its scarf on wants something simple underneath: a black velvet dress, a satin slip, a pair of tailored trousers. The Nolan works in the opposite direction and carries the look by itself over all-black pieces, which is why it sits so well with the leopard-print chiffon of the same season. The Carter is the most casual of the group and looks best with straight denim and a fine knit. Over the feather-cuff wool tee it works for a dinner that does not call for a dress.
Care
The wool coats and jackets are dry clean only; hang them on a broad padded hanger so the shoulders keep their line, and store with cedar away from moths. The lambskin, pony and leather pieces need a specialist leather cleaner. Keep them away from damp and direct heat, and never machine wash. Detach the Rosalind scarf before cleaning and store it flat to protect the fringe.

Frequently asked questions
Does 16Arlington make coats?
Yes. The Rosalind is the house coat for Autumn/Winter 2026, a longline wool and cashmere coat with a detachable fringed scarf, offered in black and in camel. The label also makes a chocolate satin trench, the Tawny.
What is the 16Arlington Rosalind coat made of?
The body is 95% virgin wool and 5% cashmere, the scarf panels are silk and the lining is viscose. It is made in the United Kingdom and fully lined.
Is the 16Arlington Nolan jacket real leather?
Yes. The Nolan is cut from hair-on calfskin printed as leopard, often called pony, and it is fully lined. It needs a specialist leather cleaner.
How do 16Arlington coats fit?
The Rosalind and the Jenna are cut for a regular fit in letter sizes S, M and L, so take your usual size. The Palmer leather jacket is deliberately oversized.
Can you remove the scarf on the Rosalind coat?
Yes. The scarf detaches, so the coat can be worn plain for the office and with the fringed scarf for the evening.
