16Arlington Feather Dresses: All 14 Ranked by Price, and Where the Plumes Sit on Each
The feather dress is the piece 16Arlington is known for: a sharp, usually black silhouette in crepe, georgette and chiffon, with natural ostrich, marabou and goose plumes applied by hand along a hem, a cuff, a bust, a split. Coveti stocks them in minis, midis and gowns. This is Gemma Deeks’s ranked edit, with where the feathers sit on each and how to wear them.
Where the feathers go
Hem feathers, on the Hodi, Maika, Ade, Addy, Gioele and Minelli, are the classic and the most visible; they move when you walk and ask you to sit carefully. Cuff feathers, on the Adelaide, Odessa and Arios, are the most practical, away from chairs. Bust feathers, on the Minelli and Taree, frame the face. Split feathers, on the Wye, show only in movement. Removable plumes on carabiners, on the Romina and Kena, let one dress be two.
The edit
1. Ayre Mini Dress in Crepe
A black crepe shift with a boat neck, open back and a large feather-shaped crystal applique on the front: feathers as motif, for the person who wants the idea without the plumes.
2. Polly Mini Dress
White Japanese satin, square-necked, with feather plumes zigzagged across the body and scalloped lace layered underneath. Made in Portugal.
3. Addy Mini Dress
Black crepe with a cross-strap halter neckline, a low back and a narrow A-line mini skirt finished with a plush feather trim.
4. Hodi Mini Dress in Black
The signature: a relaxed, long-sleeved mini in semi-sheer georgette with feathered detailing at the wrists and hem. Wear it over a black slip.
5. Maika Midi Dress
Sleeveless black crepe with a high neck, a front twist at the waist, a side slit and a feather-trimmed hem: the midi version of the Hodi idea.
6. Adelaide Dress
Black crepe, off the shoulder and asymmetric, gathered at the waist, with ostrich-feather cuffs and a side split.
7. Minelli Dress
White crepe bustier with an internal boned corset, a mid-length skirt and an ostrich-feather hem. The bridal-adjacent one.
8. Ade Midi Dress
The Addy’s halter bodice on a trumpet skirt that dips at the front and lengthens at the back, feather-trimmed all round.
9. Minelli Midi Dress
Strapless black textured sequin with an internal corset and a feathered hem: two signatures on one dress.

Strapless and corseted, with an A-line skirt softened by a feathered hem. The one for a black-tie wedding.
12. Romina Dress
Crinkle blush satin with chocolate scalloped lace, side ties finished with removable chocolate plumes on silver carabiners, and a side split.
13. Arios Gown
A floor-length black crepe gown, high-necked and long-sleeved, with feather trims along the sleeves, a keyhole back and a slight train.
14. Wye Midi Dress in Leopard Speckle
Leopard-print chiffon, slim and ruched at the waist, with a front split trimmed in black plumes and a plunging neckline. Autumn/Winter 2026.
How to wear a feather dress
One rule: the plumes are the outfit. A plain pointed shoe, one earring, hair away from the face, no fur and no second texture. The feather hems sit best with a bare leg and a slim heel; the feather cuffs want the sleeves left uncovered, so skip the jacket and carry a wrap. The sheer georgette and chiffon styles are photographed over a slip and should be worn over one. The styling guide goes further.
Care
Dry-clean only. Store it flat, never folded, away from direct sunlight, in a breathable cotton bag rather than plastic, and keep the feathers away from perfume and hairspray. A few plumes loosen on the first wears and then the trim settles. Steam gently, never iron. The review covers how the feathers wear over time.

Frequently asked questions
What is the 16Arlington feather dress called?
The Hodi is the signature feather mini, long-sleeved georgette with plumes at the wrists and hem; the Maika is the sleeveless feather-hem midi; the Adelaide and Odessa carry the feathers on the cuffs. Older seasons used the Michelle and Solaria names for feather-trimmed styles.
Where do the feathers sit on a 16Arlington dress?
On the hem, as on the Hodi and Maika; on the cuffs, as on the Adelaide and Odessa; at the bust, as on the Minelli and Taree; at the split, as on the Wye; and on removable carabiners, as on the Romina and Kena.
Are 16Arlington feathers real?
Yes. The trims are natural ostrich, marabou and goose feathers, listed on each garment’s composition, applied by hand to a tape and stitched to the garment.
Can you sit down in a feather-hem dress?
Yes, carefully. Smooth the hem to one side as you sit rather than sitting on the plumes, and choose a cuff-feather style such as the Adelaide if you will be seated all evening.
Do 16Arlington feather dresses come in colours?
Mostly black. The Polly and Minelli come in white, the Romina in blush pink with chocolate plumes, the Wye in leopard print with black plumes; the Flora skirt carries dip-dyed pink and green feathers.
