How to choose an Agua Bendita dress

Start with the occasion, then choose the cloth, then the length. Linen is the day fabric and the hot-weather fabric. Poplin is crisper and holds a shape. Velvet is for the evening and for cooler nights. Every Coleccionista dress is fully lined and closes with a concealed back zip.

The fabrics: linen, poplin and velvet

Linen is woven from flax fibre. It breathes well in heat and creases as you wear it, and the creases are part of the cloth. The Lima dresses are 100% linen, and the hand embroidery sits on a plain ground, so the florals stand out.

Cotton poplin is a tight plain weave, crisp to the touch with a slight sheen. It holds a square neckline and a halter well. The Pistilo midi and the Cuenca mini are 100% cotton poplin.

How to wear Agua Bendita dresses

Agua by Agua Bendita cuts in letter sizes from XS to XL. On the house body chart an XS fits a 84 cm bust, 65 cm waist and 90 cm hips, and an M fits a 94 cm bust, 75 cm waist and 100 cm hips. The brand gives no advice on sizing up and down, so take your usual size; the models on the product pages are 177 and 178 cm tall and wear an XS.
