Agua Bendita Size Guide: The Body Chart in cm and Inches, and How Each Piece Fits
Agua Bendita Size Guide: The Body Chart in cm and Inches, and How Each Piece Fits
The Agua Bendita size guide runs in letter sizes from XS to XL on a single body chart: an XS fits an 84 cm bust, 68 cm underbust, 65 cm waist and 90 cm hips, rising to a 105 cm bust and 112 cm hips at XL. The same chart covers the designer swimsuits, the ready to wear and the pareos on the Agua by Agua Bendita brand page, and our Agua Bendita swimwear guide shows which pieces each size applies to.
Key facts
- Agua by Agua Bendita sizes run from XS to XL on one body chart in centimetres and inches.
- On the Agua by Agua Bendita chart an XS fits an 84 cm bust, 68 cm underbust, 65 cm waist and 90 cm hips.
- The house gives no advice to size up and no advice to size down.
- The models on the Agua by Agua Bendita product pages are 177 cm and 178 cm tall and wear an XS.
The house publishes the chart in centimetres and inches and gives no advice to size up and no advice to size down. That makes your own measurements the deciding factor. This guide sets out the full chart, how to measure, how swim, ready to wear and pareos are each sized, and fit notes by category, drawn from the product pages for the Resort 2027 Coleccionista collection. For the pieces themselves, see our Coleccionista Resort 2027 edit.

The steps are even up to M, five centimetres at bust and hips and five at the waist, and then widen slightly: M to L adds six at the bust, seven at the waist and seven at the hips. The jump from M to L is the one to check most carefully.
How to measure for Agua Bendita
Use a soft tape measure, wear thin underwear, stand relaxed and keep the tape level and snug without pulling it tight.
- Bust: measure around the fullest part of the chest, with the tape level across the back.
- Underbust: measure directly under the bust, where a bra band sits. This is the figure for bikini tops and one pieces with a built-in shape.
- Waist: measure around the narrowest part of the torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips: stand with the feet together and measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat.
- Compare each number with the chart. If they fall in different rows, choose by the measurement that matters most for the piece, as set out below.
How swim, ready to wear and pareos are sized
Swim and ready to wear share the same letter sizes, XS, S, M, L and XL. The pareos split two ways. The Lavanda midis, in a cotton and silk voile, are one size, because a wrapped and knotted rectangle is fitted by the knot. The Luna and Arte minis and the Tierra maxi, all pure linen, come in paired sizes, XS/S and M/L. On the chart, XS/S spans a 65 to 70 cm waist and 90 to 95 cm hips, and M/L spans a 75 to 82 cm waist and 100 to 107 cm hips. Our Agua Bendita pareos guide covers each one, and how to tie a sarong explains the knots.
What size do the Agua models wear?
The models on the Agua by Agua Bendita product pages are Luna, 178 cm, and Valentina, 177 cm, roughly 5 ft 10 in, and both wear an XS. That is useful for length. If you are shorter, a maxi dress will sit longer on you than in the photographs, and a mini will land lower on the thigh. The house’s advice is to take your usual size, so treat the model photographs as a guide to length, not to fit.
Fit notes by category
These notes come from the construction listed on each product page, read with the chart.
Swimsuits and bikinis
All the Coleccionista swim is 81% recycled polyester and 19% elastane, and every piece is fully lined. Elastane gives stretch and recovery, so swim tolerates a little difference between your measurements and the chart better than woven cloth does. Bikini tops are worth choosing by bust and underbust; bottoms by hips. The leg comes in three cuts: American-cut, with a higher leg line at the hip; full-coverage, with the most cover at the back; and Latin-cut, with less. For a fuller comparison, read our guide to designer one-piece swimsuits and our embroidered bikinis edit.
Fully lined dresses with concealed back zips
Most of the dresses, from the linen Lima minis and maxis to the cotton poplin Pistilo midi and the velvet Ventura and Alamo maxis, close with a concealed back zip and are fully lined. A zip fixes the circumference: there is no tie to loosen, and linen, poplin and velvet have no stretch, while a lining adds a second layer inside. Choose these by the larger of your bust and waist measurements. Our Agua Bendita dresses guide goes through each shape.
Trousers, shorts and separates
The Virtud trousers in viscose jacquard and the Nostalgia shorts in French gobelin jacquard are both fully lined, and woven jacquards have little give. Choose by waist and hips. The Cecilia shirt and the Pergamino vest are cut to the bust.
Tie pareos
A one-size voile pareo has no fit to get wrong; the knot sets the size. With the paired linen pareos, take the pair that holds your usual letter size.
Agua Bendita pieces to size with care
1. Ebano Isolda One Piece
The Ebano Isolda One Piece in deep navy has a demi-cup neckline and an American-cut leg. A demi-cup is shaped at the bust, so check your bust and underbust against the chart before choosing.
2. Zucchini Isolda Bikini Top
The Zucchini Isolda Bikini Top in cream also has a demi-cup neckline. Choose it by bust and underbust, separately from the bottom.
3. Melocoton Isolda Bikini Bottom
The Melocoton Isolda Bikini Bottom in cream has a full-coverage leg, the cut with the most cover at the back. Choose it by hips.
4. Promesa Castillo Bikini Bottom
The Promesa Castillo Bikini Bottom in blush beige has a Latin-cut leg, the briefer cut at the back. Size it by hips, as with any bottom.
5. Lima Isolda Maxi Dress
The Lima Isolda Maxi Dress is pure linen with hand-embroidered florals, a straight neckline, a concealed back zip and a full lining. Linen has no stretch, so the bust and waist both need to fit.
6. Alamo Isolda Maxi Dress
The Alamo Isolda Maxi Dress is the long-sleeved one, in 82% viscose and 18% silk velvet with a concealed back zip, fully lined. Velvet has a cut pile and no stretch, so choose by the larger of bust and waist.
7. Virtud Isolda Trousers
The Virtud Isolda Trousers are a cream viscose jacquard, fully lined. A jacquard has its pattern woven in and little give, so choose by waist and hips.
8. Arte Isolda Pareo Mini
The Arte Isolda Pareo Mini is pure linen, fully lined, in paired sizes XS/S and M/L. Read the pair against your waist and hips.
9. Lavanda Isolda Pareo Midi
The Lavanda Isolda Pareo Midi is cotton and silk voile in one size, fitted by the knot, so it is the easiest piece in the collection to buy as a gift.
Wearing the right size around the world
Size matters more in some climates than others. In the humid heat of the Caribbean and Latin America, Cartagena among them, linen and poplin feel best with a little ease, so choose by the larger measurement on a fitted dress; our guide to what to wear in Cartagena covers the town. In the US, where a tape is usually read in inches, use the inch columns; in the UK and Europe the centimetre columns read straight across. In the Gulf, where evenings are spent in air conditioning and the velvet Alamo and Ventura maxis come into their own, a fully lined long dress needs a clean fit at the bust and waist to sit right through a long dinner.
Before a trip, our guide on what to pack for a beach vacation and our resort wear for women edit help plan the rest of the case, and brands like Agua by Agua Bendita lists the labels to compare.
Agua Bendita sizing in short
The house cuts in XS to XL and offers no sizing advice in either direction, so take your usual size and confirm it on the chart. An XS is an 84 cm bust, 65 cm waist and 90 cm hips; an M is a 94 cm bust, 75 cm waist and 100 cm hips. The models are 177 and 178 cm and wear XS. Everything in the collection is made in Colombia, where the house works with artisans in Medellin and its surrounding towns.
