Blazé Milano Coats and Jackets: The Complete Outerwear Guide

0

The short answer: Blazé Milano makes outerwear the way it makes blazers, in Italy, with padded shoulders and the curved Smiley pockets. For a long winter coat, choose the Woolly Coat (calf length, flared) and the Noma Coat (double-breasted, below the knee). For warmth without length, choose the Shearling Coat. For a coat that works in three seasons, the Chausie Trench. Most outerwear styles are oversized, and the brand advises taking one size smaller.

Blazé Milano started with the blazer in 2013, and its coats and jackets are an extension of the same idea: tailoring that looks considered and wears easily. Below is a guide to every outerwear style currently at Coveti, grouped by what you need it to do, with the brand’s own notes on cut, closure and sizing.

The long coats

Woolly Coat. The most dramatic coat in the line: oversized with a flared line, calf length, slightly padded shoulders, a pointed collar, four gold-tone logo buttons and cuffs with single-button tabs. It comes in Agape Grey Mix, a virgin wool and cashmere blend, in Nitak Navy and in Joya Black. Take one size down; the flare is generous.

Noma Coat. The double-breasted coat, oversized with a straight, boxy line and a below-the-knee length. Six black loden-effect buttons, peak lapels, applied patch pockets and Smiley pockets. In the Kasif Multicolor check, a virgin wool and alpaca blend, it reads as a man’s overcoat cut down for a woman.

Sealady Coat. The neatest of the three: double-breasted, regular and straight, with a six-button closure, tortoiseshell-effect buttons and contrasting black velvet trims on the Smiley pockets. The Sealady Coat in Amane Multicolor is pure virgin wool.

Suede and shearling

New for Fall Winter 2026, Tatoosh Black is black suede with a shearling interior. The Shearling Coat is oversized and hip length with a shawl collar fastened by a loop and button, three brown leather loden-effect buttons, leather trims and Smiley pockets; it arrives in a branded cotton garment bag. The Gliss Gilet is reversible, with suede and leather buttons on one side and shearling with tortoiseshell-effect buttons on the other, and the Gliss Bolero in Tatoosh Black takes the same skins into a cropped bomber shape.

Caring for shearling: keep it away from rain and direct heat, brush the suede gently with a soft brush, hang it on a broad hanger, and leave cleaning to a leather specialist.

The trench and the field jacket

The Chausie Trench is the Blazé answer to the trench coat, cut short and oversized. It has a double collar with a removable brown corduroy top collar and throat latch, shoulder tabs, a zip with a two-button fastening, a chest gun flap, a waist tab and a buttoned back cape. It comes in the new Amandira Green and Red Mix tweed check, in Saona Beige and in Kasif Multicolor. Take one size down.

The Hackney Jacket in Olmida Green Mix is the field jacket: a removable hood with a drawstring, an adjustable drawstring waist, a seven-button and zip closure, shoulder and cuff tabs and patch chest pockets, in a virgin wool and cashmere blend. It is the most practical piece in the collection.

Short jackets and boleros

The Clelia Jacket is diamond quilted with a brown corduroy polo collar and side tabs; the Clelia Jacket in Amara Mint is sage cotton. The Coiba Jacket is slightly oversized with a rounded stand collar, topstitched trims and black velvet pocket trims, in checks, black and navy. The Gliss Bolero in Jealousy Caramel velvet is a bomber-cut bolero with adjustable cuffs, and the Shamo Bolero is cropped and regular with black velvet trims. Boleros sit at the waist, so they work best over high-rise trousers and long skirts.

Which coat for which woman

  • For a cold city winter: the Woolly Coat, then the Noma Coat.
  • For one coat that does three seasons: the Chausie Trench, with the corduroy collar on in autumn and off in spring.
  • For warmth without bulk: the Shearling Coat over a fine knit.
  • For the country and the weekend: the Hackney Jacket and the Clelia Jacket.
  • If you are petite: a hip-length piece such as the Shearling Coat, the Chausie Trench and the Coiba Jacket, rather than the calf-length Woolly Coat.

How it compares

Blazé outerwear sits in the same price bracket as Khaite and The Row, with more detail than either: the Smiley pockets, removable collars and contrast trims are more playful than The Row’s austerity, and the tailoring is more structured than Toteme. For an oversized coat at a lower price, look at The Frankie Shop. Our full comparison is in brands like Blazé Milano.
