How to Wear the Schiaparelli Keyhole Sunglasses
It works as the only decorative element in an outfit.
- With tailoring: Schiaparelli hardware shows best against a plain surface. Wear the Schiaparelli Keyhole Sunglasses with a sharp trouser suit.
- For evening: A black column dress leaves room for Red and lets the sculptural detail be seen across a room.
- By day: Denim and a plain shirt keep the surrealist detail from tipping into costume.
- Building a set: The same motifs run through the collection, so a charm, a belt and a bag can be worn together.

About Schiaparelli
Schiaparelli is a Parisian couture house founded in 1927 by Elsa Schiaparelli, with Daniel Roseberry as creative director since 2019. Elsa Schiaparelli worked alongside Salvador Dalí and Jean Cocteau, and that Surrealist thinking still shapes the house. It is most literal in the accessories: anatomical bijoux, trompe l’oeil hardware and the keyhole motif. Ready-to-wear and accessories are made in Italy, and haute couture is made in the Place Vendôme atelier. Coveti stocks Schiaparelli for red-carpet and evening dressing.
The house closed in 1954 and stayed dormant for decades. Diego Della Valle acquired the name and relaunched it in 2012, and Schiaparelli is now a member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, the body that governs which houses may use the haute couture designation. The official house site is schiaparelli.com. The fashion house is distinct from the astronomer Giovanni Schiaparelli, and from the Mars lander named after him.
“The Schiaparelli Keyhole Sunglasses in Red is the piece an outfit gets built around. Schiaparelli accessories are jewellery first and function second, which is why one is usually enough. It is made in 70% Acetate, 25% Nylon, 5% Brass, and the gilding is done by hand.”

How Schiaparelli Compares
Shoppers cross-shopping the Schiaparelli Keyhole Sunglasses typically also consider
Alaïa,
Magda Butrym, and
The Attico.
Those houses build a look around silhouette. Schiaparelli builds it around hardware, so the accessories show the house signature more plainly than the clothes do. Explore the full

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Schiaparelli Keyhole Sunglasses authentic?
Yes. Every Schiaparelli piece sold by Coveti is 100% authentic and authenticity-verified before dispatch, including the Schiaparelli Keyhole Sunglasses in Red, reference BI00547_300.
What size is the Schiaparelli Keyhole Sunglasses?
One size. The piece is made to a single fixed proportion. Schiaparelli footwear is sized in EU measurements and runs true to size, while bags, belts, charms and small leather goods are made to a fixed proportion.
What is Schiaparelli known for?
Schiaparelli (Paris, France, founded 1927 by Elsa Schiaparelli, Daniel Roseberry creative director since 2019) is known for Surrealist couture, sculptural tailoring, and gilded anatomical jewellery. Elsa Schiaparelli collaborated with Salvador Dalí and Jean Cocteau, and the house still builds its accessories around that thinking, with keyhole hardware, trompe l’oeil detail, and hand-cast gold bijoux.
What is the Schiaparelli Keyhole Sunglasses made from?
The Schiaparelli Keyhole Sunglasses is made from 70% Acetate, 25% Nylon, 5% Brass. Schiaparelli accessories are produced in Italy, and the metal hardware is cast in brass and finished in gold by hand.
How should I care for the Schiaparelli Keyhole Sunglasses?
Store in the case provided. Clean the lenses with the cloth supplied, and keep away from heat. Gilded brass will patinate with skin contact and fragrance, so store the piece dry and away from direct light to keep the finish even.
What is the Schiaparelli keyhole motif?
The keyhole is one of the house signatures under Daniel Roseberry, a gold-toned lock and keyhole shape used as a buckle, a clasp, and a decorative plaque across bags, belts, and footwear. It reads as jewellery rather than as functional hardware, which is the point.
What are Schiaparelli anatomical bijoux?
Anatomical bijoux are the hammered gold body-part motifs the house casts into its hardware: eyes, ears, noses, lips, and hands. They come directly from Elsa Schiaparelli’s Surrealist work with Salvador Dalí and Jean Cocteau in the 1930s, and Daniel Roseberry revived them as the signature of the modern accessories line.
Does Coveti ship Schiaparelli internationally?
Yes. Coveti ships Schiaparelli worldwide from our France hub.
