Schiaparelli Shoes: Gold Toe Heels, Keyhole Pumps and Sizing (2026 Guide)

Schiaparelli shoes are built on the same surrealist codes as the couture: gilded toes that look sculpted from the foot itself, the Keyhole, the tailor’s Measuring Tape and heels shaped like a bird’s claw. Daniel Roseberry, creative director since April 2019, turned those codes into a shoe line that is made in Italy and sized in EU 35 to 42. You can shop every pair in the designer shoes edit and the full Schiaparelli at Coveti hub, and our Schiaparelli price guide explains how the euro prices compare.

Key facts about Schiaparelli shoes

  • Made in: Italy.
  • Sizing: EU 35 to 42, cut true to size. Take your usual EU size.
  • Signature codes: gold Trompe l’Oeil toes, the gold Keyhole, Measuring Tape straps and embroidery, the bird claw heel, the S heel.
  • Heel heights published by the house: 6 cm kitten heel and 10.5 cm stiletto on the Keyhole pumps, 10.5 cm on the Trompe l’Oeil stiletto mules, a 10 cm composite platform on the Trompe l’Oeil boots.
  • Price range at Coveti: from about $2,750 for the Keyhole ballerinas to about $8,030 for the Trompe l’Oeil boots.

The gold toe shoes: Trompe l’Oeil

The gold toes are the most recognisable Schiaparelli shoe of the Roseberry era. A gilded cap shaped like toes, complete with nails, sits over the front of the shoe, so the foot appears to be cast in metal. It is a direct descendant of Elsa Schiaparelli’s 1927 trompe l’oeil sweater, the hand knit that launched the house by fooling the eye with a painted bow.

Keyhole pumps: stiletto against kitten heel

The Keyhole pumps share one last: a pointed toe, a wavy topline and the gold metal Keyhole at the vamp, lined in pink. The choice is fabric and height.

Patent is the practical pick: it wipes clean and holds its shape. Velvet reads softer at night but marks with rain. Already live at Coveti in other colours: Patent Keyhole Pumps in Marron and Nude and Keyhole Mules in Black.

Keyhole sandals with the red sole

The Spring Summer 2026 Keyhole sandals pair a gold plated Keyhole bijou with a small heel shaped like sun rays and a red patent sole whose pointed toe extends just past the front. Three versions: black patent, taupe suede and hand braided white calfskin.

Measuring Tape sandals

Elsa Schiaparelli wrapped a measuring tape around the neck of her 1937 Shocking perfume bottle, which was modelled on a dressmaker’s bust. Roseberry puts it on the foot in three ways:

  • Embroidered on heeled sandals in black and nude.
  • As gold straps wrapping the foot and ankle above a sculptural anatomical heel, in black and nude.
  • As the Mètre Ruban cross strap sandal on the signature S heel, in black and white.

Creature mules with the bird claw heel

The Autumn Winter 2026 Creature Mules in Black and Creature Mules in Nude are silk satin mules on a sculpted gold brass heel shaped like a bird’s claw. They answer the search for “Schiaparelli bird shoes”, and they sit with the Bird Claw Brooch if you want to repeat the motif.

How to style Schiaparelli shoes

Let the shoe be the only surrealist piece in the look. Gold toes work best against black tailoring, a straight dark jean and a plain knit, so the gilding has nothing to compete with. The Keyhole pumps are the bridge piece: wear the kitten heel with the ready-to-wear you already own, and save the stiletto for a column dress. For more outfit ideas read how to style Schiaparelli, and see the Schiaparelli codes explained for where each motif comes from.

Which Schiaparelli shoe to buy first

If you want one pair you will wear weekly, choose the Patent Keyhole Pump with the 6 cm kitten heel: it carries the most recognisable house code at the lowest heel and price. If you want the most talked about pair, choose the Trompe L’Oeil Sneakers, which put the gold toes on a shoe you can walk in. For evening, the 10.5 cm Keyhole stiletto in velvet is the classic, and the Creature Mules are the collector’s pick.
