Sebastian Milano Boots: Every Style, Heel Height and Fit

Sebastian Milano boots come in five styles at Coveti: the Jaida slouch boot, the Amy tall boot, the Judy over-the-knee boot, and the Rama and Nadia ankle boots, all made by hand in Italy with heels from 50 mm to 105 mm. The Sebastian Milano house opened as a shoe shop in Via Gesu, Milan, in 1970, and most of its boots carry the same nude leather lining as its heels. You can shop every pair in designer boots, and for styling the Jaida’s gathered shaft, read how to wear slouchy boots.

Key Facts

  • Five boot styles at Coveti: Jaida (slouch), Amy (tall), Judy (over-the-knee), Rama and Nadia (ankle).
  • Heel heights: Amy 50 mm, Jaida 70 mm, Nadia 70 mm, Rama 95 mm, Judy 105 mm.
  • Prices at Coveti run from $980 (Nadia) to $1,530 (Judy).
  • Every pair is labelled “100% hand-made in Italy” by the house.
  • Coveti lists whole EU sizes 35 to 42; the house recommends half a size up when you are between sizes.

Which Sebastian Milano boot should you buy?

The answer depends on how high you want the shaft and how much heel you can walk in. Four of the five share a nude leather lining and a sole in black recycled leather (the Judy is the exception, with a leather lining and a full leather sole). What changes is the shaft, the heel and the finish.

For a first pair, the Amy at 50 mm is the easiest to wear every day. For evenings and a longer leg line, the Judy at 105 mm is the statement. The ankle boots sit between the two and work under wide trousers, which is how most people end up wearing them from October to March.

Sebastian Milano knee high boots: Jaida and Amy

Knee high boots are the biggest search in boots by a distance, and the two tall styles answer it in opposite ways. The Jaida is the slouch boot, with a gathered shaft. The Amy is the straight one, with a slim pointed toe and a clean line. Neither is a riding boot; both are dress boots with a city heel.

The Jaida slouch boot, 70 mm

The Jaida is the Sebastian Milano answer to slouchy boots, a search with around 49,500 searches a month. Its shaft is softly gathered and slouches at the top, with a buckle at the side, on a 70 mm heel. It is lined in nude leather and finished with a black recycled leather sole. The Jaida Boot in black nappa is the plain choice and goes with almost anything dark; the gathers soften it enough to wear with jeans. The Jaida Boot in burgundy patent uses a textured high-shine patent leather, and it is the one to buy if you want the boot to be the colour of the outfit. Burgundy is a strong shade this autumn winter 2026/27; our guide to burgundy heels and boots covers what to wear with it.

There are two lighter versions too: cream glossy nappa and taupe nappa. The cream shine Jaida is the rarer colour for a winter boot, and it looks best with camel, grey and other soft neutrals rather than with black.

The Amy boot, 50 mm

The Amy is the straight tall boot: a tall shaft and a slim pointed toe give it a long, clean line, on a lower 50 mm heel. That lower heel is the reason to choose it. You can walk to work in it, and it sits well under a midi skirt with the hem just over the top of the shaft. The house makes it in four black finishes: nappa, croc-print leather, suede and patent. The Amy Boot in black suede has the softest look; the Amy in black croc print adds texture without adding colour, and it is also the only boot here listed from EU 35.

Over the knee boots: the Judy

The Judy Over-the-Knee Boot is the tallest and highest style in the range. The black grained leather shaft rises above the knee and falls in soft folds, so it has some of the ease of a slouch boot at a much greater height. The heel is 105 mm.

It is the only boot here with a leather lining and a leather sole, which makes it the most formal of the five. Wear it with a short knit dress, a long coat and nothing else competing with it. A boot this tall does a lot of work on its own.

Judy and Jaida: which soft shaft?

Both have give in the shaft, but they do different jobs. The Judy’s folds sit above the knee on a 105 mm heel, which keeps it in evening territory. The Jaida’s gathers sit at knee height on 70 mm, so it is the slouch boot for daytime, with a midi skirt and with jeans tucked in.

Sebastian Milano ankle boots: Rama and Nadia

Both ankle boots stop just above the ankle bone, with a pointed toe and buckle detail at the side. They are the most practical pairs in the range for autumn, because they sit under trousers and jeans without bunching.

The Rama, 95 mm tassel heel

The Rama stands on a 95 mm flute heel finished with the house tassel, the same signature you find on the Fifi slingback and the Martine mule. The Rama Ankle Boot in black nappa with gold buckles is $1,090. The olive green textured patent version with silver buckles is $1,030, and it is the colour to look at if you already own a black ankle boot. For more on that shade, see olive green heels. The full story of the heel is in our guide to Sebastian Milano tassel heels.

The Nadia, 70 mm

The Nadia Ankle Boot mixes dark brown glossy nappa with suede on a 70 mm heel. At $980 it is the lowest price of the five boots, and the brown makes it the easiest to wear with denim, tweed and camel coats.

How do Sebastian Milano boots fit?

The house note on many product pages is to go half a size up when you are between sizes. Coveti stocks whole EU sizes only, from 35 to 42, so between sizes means taking the next whole size up. The house itself makes sizes 36 to 44, so larger sizes may exist at source that Coveti does not list. Our Sebastian Milano size guide has the full chart.

For tall boots, the calf matters as much as the foot. Measure around the widest part of the calf with a soft tape, keeping it snug, and measure both legs and use the larger number, as calf-fit guides from shoe retailers advise. If you plan to wear the boot with a heel, a second measurement standing on your toes shows the calf at its fullest. Coveti does not publish shaft widths for these styles, so ask customer service before you buy if your calf measurement is near the edge of what slim boots usually fit.

Pointed toes and length

The Amy, Rama and Nadia have a pointed toe. The point adds length in front of the toes, so the foot itself does not sit any further forward. If a pair feels tight across the toes, the half-size-up rule applies.

How to wear Sebastian Milano boots this autumn winter 2026/27

Keep the hem in mind. A tall boot looks best when a skirt covers the top of the shaft, and an ankle boot looks best when a trouser covers it. The awkward gap of bare leg between hem and boot is what makes a good boot look wrong.

  • Jaida in burgundy patent with a grey knit midi dress and a charcoal coat.
  • Amy in black suede with a pleated wool skirt and a fine roll-neck.
  • Judy with a short black dress and an ankle-length coat left open.
  • Rama in olive under straight dark denim with a cream jumper.
  • Nadia with brown tailoring and a camel coat.

Caring for leather, suede and patent boots

The house asks you to keep its shoes away from water, sun, heat, oils and alcohol, and to store them in the dust bag and box. For boots that means drying them away from radiators if they get caught in the rain, and stuffing the shafts so they hold their shape between wears. Suede needs the most care in wet weather; patent wipes clean with a soft dry cloth.
