Sebastian Milano in brief
The house opened as a small shop in Via Gesu, in the fashion district of Milan, and made shoes by hand for the women of the Milanese bourgeoisie. Its pairs were made for big nights out, the opening of the season at La Scala among them. In 2018 Angelica Fagioli became brand director and relaunched the label. In 2023 it opened a showroom in a historic palazzo behind the Castello Sforzesco. Its line is Fem for All: the shoes are for anyone who wants to wear them, and the house cuts some styles up to EU 44. The editor’s guide to buying Sebastian Milano
Start with the heel. The Fifi slingback, the Martine mule and the Rama ankle boot sit on the tassel heel, the house signature, at 95 mm. The Louise, Rene and Karen stand on the Coco heel, a sculpted metal-tone stiletto, also at 95 mm. For a lower heel there is the Perla slingback and the Celine mule at 35 mm, and the Nana is a flat slingback. In boots, the Jaida has a softly gathered, slouched shaft on a 70 mm heel and the Judy rises above the knee. Prices at Coveti run from USD 710 to USD 1,530. Our guides to the tassel heel, Sebastian Milano slingbacks, Sebastian Milano boots and mules and sandals go through each style.
The numbered editions
Since Milan Fashion Week in September 2023 the house has shown one new design each season, made in 99 pairs and numbered on the insole. Muse pays tribute to the Philip Treacy hat worn by Grace Jones. Dada carries red patent lips, after Man Ray. Eva winds a gold serpent from toe to ankle, and Devalle is padded red velvet after a Carlo Mollino settee. Coveti stocks all four, see the limited edition heels.

Sebastian Milano size conversion
Sebastian Milano sizes on the Italian scale, which is the same as the European one. Take your usual size; between sizes, the house suggests the half size up, and because Coveti lists whole EU sizes that means the next whole size.
