Frankie Shop Leather Gloves 2026: 6 Pairs, Sizes and Care

0

Frankie Shop leather gloves are wrist-length and over-the-elbow pairs cut in 100% sheep leather and made in India. The Frankie Shop has three styles in six colourways in our designer leather gloves edit, from the Rion Short Leather Gloves in Black at $300 to the Veneto Bicolor Long Leather Gloves in Pine and Bottle Green at $360.

They are the newest addition to the label’s small goods, which we cover as a whole in our Frankie Shop accessories guide. This page is about the gloves alone: length, leather, sizing, care and the coats they were made to sit beside.

Which leather gloves does The Frankie Shop make?

The Frankie Shop makes two short styles, the Rion and the Rion Bicolor, plus one long style, the Veneto Bicolor.

The Rion is the plain one. It comes in black, finishes at the wrist and is described as a slip-on style in smooth leather. It is the pair to buy if you want one set of gloves to wear with everything from a tailored coat to a padded trench.

The Rion Bicolor keeps the same wrist length and the same $300 price, then splits each glove into two tones. Three colourways are on Coveti: the Rion Bicolor Short Leather Gloves in Pale Blue and Light Brown, the Rion Bicolor Short Leather Gloves in Pale Yellow and Light Grey and the Rion Bicolor Short Leather Gloves in Pine and Bottle Green.

The Veneto Bicolor is the statement. The house describes it as over-the-elbow length, with the same two-tone treatment in smooth leather, and it costs $360. Alongside the green pair there is the Veneto Bicolor Long Leather Gloves in Dark Grey and Dark Navy, the quietest of the six.

How do the Frankie Shop gloves compare?

All six pairs share one leather, one country of manufacture and one size run, so the real choices are length, colour and price.

Style Colourway Composition Made in Length Coveti price Sizes on Coveti
Rion Short Leather Gloves Black 100% sheep leather India Wrist length $300 XXXS to L
Rion Bicolor Short Leather Gloves Pale Blue and Light Brown 100% sheep leather India Wrist length $300 XXXS to L
Rion Bicolor Short Leather Gloves Pale Yellow and Light Grey 100% sheep leather India Wrist length $300 XXXS to L

Veneto Bicolor Long Leather Gloves Pine and Bottle Green 100% sheep leather India Over-the-elbow length $360 XXXS to L

Lining and exact length in centimetres are not published by the house, so we have left them out rather than guess. The product page for each pair carries the size guide.

What leather are Frankie Shop gloves made of?

Every pair is 100% sheep leather with a smooth finish, made in India.

Sheep leather is the classic glove skin because it is thin and supple, so it bends with the knuckles instead of fighting them. A smooth finish also reads as polished next to tailoring, which suits a label that, by its own account, that it became synonymous with smart, oversized suiting. The house founded by Gaelle Drevet is best known for its blazers and coats, and the gloves follow the same plain, graphic line.

The two-tone styles are where the design sits. On the Rion Bicolor and the Veneto Bicolor, each glove is split between two shades, so a pair works as a colour accent the way a scarf does. If you are building a full set of winter accessories, our guide to Frankie Shop scarves and snoods covers the knits and faux fur that sit above the gloves.

How do Frankie Shop glove sizes work?

The Frankie Shop sizes its gloves in paired letters, XXXS/XXS, XS/S and M/L, and Coveti lists each letter on its own from XXXS to L.

In practice that means three glove sizes, each covering two letters. If your clothing size is S, you are choosing the XS/S glove. If you wear M in coats, you are in the M/L glove. The smallest pair, XXXS/XXS, is there for narrow hands that usually swim in a standard small.

Glove fit depends on your hand, not your dress size, so the letter on your coat label is a starting point only. Measure first, then read the size guide on the product page. Our Frankie Shop size guide explains the clothing chart in full, and the Coveti team can help you choose if you are between sizes.

How to measure your hand for leather gloves

  • Use a soft tape measure and your dominant hand, since it is usually slightly larger.
  • Wrap the tape around the widest part of the palm, just below the knuckles, leaving the thumb out. Keep it snug but flat.
  • Measure length from the crease at the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger.
  • Note both numbers and compare them with the size guide on the product page.
  • Expect new leather to feel close. Smooth sheep leather gives a little with wear, so a pair that feels loose on day one will feel looser later.

How should long leather gloves be worn with a coat?

Long leather gloves go under the coat sleeve, so the leather runs up the forearm and the cuff of the coat falls over it.

The Veneto Bicolor is described as over-the-elbow length, which is long enough that a coat sleeve will always cover the top edge. That is the point: there is no gap of bare wrist when you reach for a door, and the second colour shows only as a flash between sleeve and hand.

  • Pull the gloves on first, smooth the leather up the arm, then put on the coat.
  • Roomy sleeves help. A padded shoulder coat with a generous armhole slides over leather more easily than a slim knit cuff.
  • Fine knits work underneath. A thin turtleneck sleeve can sit inside the glove; a chunky sweater sleeve is better pushed up.
  • With short sleeves and bare arms in the evening, the gloves become the outfit. Keep the rest plain.

The short Rion styles are simpler. They finish at the wrist and sit under any coat cuff, from a wool trench to a padded coat.

Which Frankie Shop coats go with each pair of gloves?

Match one tone of the glove to the coat, then let the second tone stand out.

Black Rion gloves go with every dark coat in the range. They look sharpest against the Saki Tailored Long Coat in Black, a brushed wool coat with notch lapels and padded shoulders at $980, made in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 62% wool, 23% polyamide, 10% mohair and 5% other fibres. The Leroy Funnel Neck Wool Coat in Black at $880 is the other easy match.

Dark Grey and Dark Navy Veneto gloves were made for navy tailoring. Try them with the Marcello Double-Breasted Coat in Dark Navy, $1,210 in 75% wool, 23% polyamide and 2% other fibres with peak lapels, also made in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Issen Wool Trench Coat in Dark Navy at $890 is a lighter alternative. Browse more in our wool coats edit.

Pine and Bottle Green, in both lengths, belongs with the greens of the season. The Levia Scarf Coat in Dark Olive at $890 has peak lapels and a detachable scarf, and the Skye Padded Trench Coat in Bottle Green at $890 is a near tonal match. Find more belted shapes in our trench coats edit.

The two pale Rion Bicolor pairs are for camel, brown and grey. Pale Blue and Light Brown sits well on the Gaia Double-Breasted Coat in Camel at $890. Pale Yellow and Light Grey picks up the Saki Tailored Long Coat in Grey Melange, the same $980 coat as the black. For the full outerwear range, read our Frankie Shop coats guide.

How do you care for leather gloves?

Keep leather gloves dry, flat and away from heat, and they will last for many winters.

  • Take them off by easing each fingertip loose, then sliding the glove from the wrist. Pulling from the fingertips stretches the seams.
  • If they get wet, blot them with a soft towel and let them dry flat at room temperature. Never put leather on a radiator.
  • Wipe marks away with a barely damp cloth. Use a leather conditioner made for fine skins sparingly, and test it on the inside of the cuff first.
  • Store them flat in a cotton pouch, not rolled tightly in a coat pocket all summer.
  • For deep stains, ink and oil, take them to a leather specialist rather than trying a home remedy.

Pale colourways show marks sooner than dark ones. If you want the Pale Yellow and Light Grey pair for daily commuting, keep a soft cloth in your bag.

How do Frankie Shop leather gloves suit different climates?

The gloves are cold-weather pieces in the US, UK and EU, and evening and travel pieces in the GCC.

In New York, Paris, Milan and London, where The Frankie Shop has its stores, leather gloves are worn from late autumn through early spring. Search interest in leather gloves for women roughly quadruples in December, so it pays to choose your pair early. The short Rion is the practical daily pair; the long Veneto is the one for dinners and the theatre.

In Dubai, Riyadh and Doha, winter days are mild, so gloves are less about warmth. They come into play on trips to colder cities, at ski resorts and as an evening accessory with a sleeveless dress, where an over-the-elbow length looks deliberate. Our Frankie Shop gift guide has more pieces that travel well.

Sizing reads the same everywhere because gloves use letters. For coats bought to go with them, the brand’s chart maps XS, S, M, L and XL to US 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10, UK 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14, EU 34, 36, 38, 40 and 42 and IT 38 to 46. Coveti ships worldwide and has its own returns policy.
