Valextra Bags: Every Style Explained, with Sizes and Prices

Valextra makes fewer bag shapes than most houses its age, and each one has a job. This guide explains every family Coveti carries, 102 styles across 266 bags from $1,680 to $10,420, with the house’s own dimensions, how each is carried and who it suits. Valextra was founded in Milan in 1937 by Giovanni Fontana, and every piece is still made in Italy, and the house codes are easy to learn: no logo on the outside, Millepunte grained calf leather, a V notch cut into card slots and pockets, and the black lacquered Costa edge painted by hand along every seam.

The Iside family

The Iside is the bag most people mean when they say Valextra: a geometric flap with a twist-lock clasp, introduced in 2011. The Iside Top Handle Mini is the classic size and carries by the handle and on a strap; the Medium takes a diary and a tablet. The Iside Crossbody Micro is sized around a large phone, the Iside Tin is a slimmer crossbody, and the Iside Editor stretches the shape to take A4 papers. the Iside guide compares them in detail.

Milano and Mochi

The Milano is a two-handle bag with a belt across the front, closed by a clasp borrowed from the Iside, that cinches the sides to change its capacity. The medium takes a 15 inch laptop. The Milano Crossbody Micro keeps the belt at a tiny scale. The Mochi is the softest shape in the range, a rounded top handle bag with a zip and a clip-on strap.

Tric Trac, Brera and the crossbodies

The Tric Trac goes back to the late 1960s: a small box that snaps shut with a click, with a concertina zip compartment, carried on the wrist and across the body. The Brera bags use the Pignone clasp as a detail, and the B-Tracollina turns from crossbody to clutch when the strap comes off. The Pocket crossbody has three compartments on a strap that swivels.

Soft Bucket and the summer bags

The Soft Bucket is the easiest everyday Valextra. Its curved outer pocket echoes the windows of the first boutique in Milan, and a removable pouch keeps small things in order. It runs from nano to medium, and there are canvas, raffia, wicker and satin editions. designer bucket bags sets it against other bucket bags.

Vivi, MyLogo and the bigger bags

The Vivi family is the soft side of the house: the Vivi Gio is a structured two-handle bag with an open top, the Vivi Hobo folds against the body, and the Vivi Shopping is a tote whose sides fold in to change its size. MyLogo is a clean bowling bag for work.
