Valextra is the Milan leather goods house Giovanni Fontana founded in 1937 in Piazza San Babila, and it is one of the few luxury names that puts no logo on the outside of anything it makes. The house
The name joins valigia, Italian for suitcase, with extra, and the house began with luggage and briefcases. Its 24 Ore briefcase won the Compasso d’Oro at the award’s first edition in 1954.
