Alémais Co-ords: Ten Matching Sets, and How to Wear Each Half on Its Own

The best Alémais co-ords right now are the Rosette silk shirt and pant in the new teal bow print, the Lacey silk blouse and pant in rose pink, and the Joan linen shirt and pant in sky blue, all from Spring/Summer 2027. For an evening, the Jimi metallic velvet top and skirt does the job of a gown. Below are ten matching sets from across the range, what each is made of according to the brand’s product notes, and how to wear each half on its own.

Alémais has always designed in families. A print is cut into a shirt, a trouser, a skirt and a couple of dresses, so the pieces match when worn together and stand up alone. That makes a co-ord the easiest way into the brand. You get a full outfit for an occasion, and then two pieces that work with plain things you already own. Ten Alémais co-ords, and how to wear them

1. The Rosette silk set: Rosette Silk Shirt with Rosette Silk Pant

A relaxed silk twill shirt with balloon sleeves and a wide drawcord pant, both in the teal bow print. Worn together it is a silk suit for a long lunch and a summer evening. Apart, the shirt goes over denim and the pant goes under a plain knit. The shirt is cut oversized, the pant regular.

2. The Lacey silk set: Lacey Silk Blouse with Lacey Silk Pant

A relaxed silk blouse with a high gathered neck that ties at the back, and a wide pant in silk satin, both in rose pink with an olive scarf border. The most dressed of the trouser sets, and the one to wear instead of a dress to a summer wedding.

3. The Joan linen set: Joan Shirt with Joan Pant

An oversized shirt in linen with silk, with a pointed collar and stand and balloon sleeves, and a high-waisted tailored pant with double front pleats in the same cloth. Sky blue and cream panels with ochre florals. The most practical set here for heat, because linen breathes.

4. The Bodie jacquard set: Bodie Jacquard Bomber Jacket with Bodie Jacquard Skirt

A padded bomber in metallic floral jacquard and a knee-length skirt in the same cloth with a fringe hem. The bomber is cut oversized and the skirt regular. Worn together it is a two-piece for an evening; the bomber alone goes over a plain dress.

The same bomber with a high-waisted tailored short with a fringe hem. A summer evening version of the set above, and the one for a festival.

6. The Josie set: Josie Top with Josie Pant

A relaxed sleeveless tunic top with a keyhole at the back and a cropped pant with pressed creases, both in the chocolate floral. A daytime set that travels well, because recycled polyester does not crease.

7. The Valentina moiré set: Valentina Top with Valentina Skirt

A cropped sleeveless top and a straight knee-length skirt in pink moiré, both with embellished bows. The most playful set Alémais has made, and the one for a party.

8. The Nanci sandwashed silk set: Nanci Silk Shirt with Nanci Silk Pant

From Pre-Fall 2026. A relaxed shirt with a back yoke and split, and a wide drawcord pant, both in sandwashed silk satin with a vintage-inspired floral. Sandwashed silk is softer and more matte than twill, and the set reads more like pyjamas you can wear out.

9. The Banderra scarf set: Banderra Scarf Silk Shirt with Banderra Silk Pant

From Fall 2026. A relaxed shirt with a removable self-tie neck scarf and a wide pant with a concealed fly and an elasticated back, both in sandwashed silk satin with a floral print bordered in stripes.

10. The Jimi evening set: Jimi Top with Jimi Skirt

From Pre-Fall 2026. A halter top with a draped asymmetric panel and a fitted maxi skirt with a side split, in metallic velvet burnout with silk. This is the co-ord that replaces a gown for black tie.

How to wear a co-ord apart

The rule we use for every Alémais print, set out in how to style Alémais, holds for co-ords too: one print per outfit, and the rest plain. Worn together, the matching set counts as one print. Worn apart, each half needs plain company.

Wear the shirt over straight-leg denim with a flat sandal, and tuck it into a black slip skirt for the evening. Put the trouser with a fine knit in a colour from the print, and the chocolate Rosette Knit Polo goes with every trouser in the Spring/Summer 2027 drop. A skirt takes a fitted knit and a boot when it is cool, and a plain tank in summer.

The Bodie bomber is the most useful single piece here. A padded jacket in a metallic jacquard turns a plain black dress into an evening outfit on its own.

Sizing a set

Alémais gives the fit of each piece separately, and the two halves of a set are often cut differently. The tops/shirt/" class="cvx-al cvx-al--category">shirts and the bomber are mostly oversized, which means the brand suggests the size below if you want a regular line. The trousers and skirts are mostly regular, which means your usual size. The Joan pant is lightly fitted, and the brand suggests the size above if you prefer a looser fit. Yes, for most daytime and garden weddings. The Lacey silk blouse and pant and the Rosette silk shirt and pant are the most dressed of the trouser sets. For black tie, the Jimi top and skirt in metallic velvet is formal enough to replace a gown.

Not always. Alémais states the fit of each piece separately on the product page, and the halves of a set can differ.
