Alémais Spring/Summer 2027: The New Collection, Reviewed Family by Family

Alémais Spring/Summer 2027 is a season of bows, silk and colour: 33 ready-to-wear pieces in the first drop, built around a teal bow print on silk twill, pink moiré with embellished bows, a metallic floral jacquard and navy sequins. It arrived at Coveti in the first week of October 2026. Below is every family in the drop, what each piece is made of according to the brand’s own product notes, how it fits, and the thirteen pieces we would buy first.

The season is a change of mood after the Western prints of Fall 2026. The rodeo motifs and the corset tailoring are gone. In their place are romantic, slightly retro shapes: balloon sleeves on deep cuffs, empire waists, scarf dresses tied at the neck and the hip, and a run of matching tops/shirt/" class="cvx-al cvx-al--category">shirts and wide trousers. Alémais is still a print house, and the founder Lesleigh Jermanus still dresses the whole range in colour, but this drop is softer and easier to wear by day than the one before it.

The eight families

Alémais designs in families: one print and one cloth, cut into a shirt, a trouser, a skirt and two and three dresses. That makes the range easy to read and easy to buy into, because every piece in a family works with every other. These are the eight in the first Spring/Summer 2027 drop.

• Rosette. Bows and rosettes on deep teal silk twill, edged in burgundy. A shirt, a wide pant, a scarf midi dress, a midi dress and a mini dress, plus a chocolate merino polo that shares the name.
• Valentina. Pink moiré with embellished bows in teal, burgundy and gold. A cropped top, a skirt, a slip midi dress and an A-line mini, plus two merino polos in olive and coral pink.
• Bodie. A metallic floral jacquard in teal, violet and ochre over brown. A bomber, a skirt, a tailored short, a mini dress and a gown, all spliced from panels and trimmed with fringe.
• Ellie. Midnight navy sequins all over. A mini dress and a straight knee-length skirt.
• Josie. Pink and sage flowers on deep chocolate, in recycled polyester. A tunic top, a cropped pant, a strapless bodice midi, a midi and a mini.
• Joan. Sky blue linen with cream panels and ochre florals. A shirt and a tailored pant in linen with silk, and a midi and a mini shirtdress in European linen.
• Lacey. Rose pink silk with an olive scarf border. A blouse, a wide pant and a midi shirtdress.
• Maxwell. Blue and lilac leaves on brown, in a ruched recycled viscose jersey. A fitted gown and a fitted top.

The thirteen to buy first

1. The dress of the season: Rosette Silk Scarf Midi Dress

A sleeveless scarf dress in silk twill, tied at the side of the neck and again at the waist, with a handkerchief hem. The print is the one the whole Rosette family shares: bows and rosettes scattered over deep teal, edged in burgundy. Alémais calls the fit regular, so take your usual size.

2. The shirt to buy first: Rosette Silk Shirt

A relaxed silk twill shirt with a point collar, a concealed placket with self-covered buttons, dropped shoulders and full balloon sleeves on deep cuffs. It is cut oversized, and it is the piece in the drop that works with the most things you already own.

3. The trouser that makes the set: Rosette Silk Pant

A relaxed wide-leg pant in the same teal bow print, with in-seam pockets and an elasticated drawcord waist on rouleau ties. Wear it with the shirt as a suit, and on its own with a plain knit.

4. The moiré slip: Valentina Midi Dress

A straight slip dress in pink moiré with embellished bows in teal, burgundy and gold, adjustable spaghetti straps and a side split. Moiré has a watery sheen that changes as you move, and the bows are the only decoration it needs.

5. The short version: Valentina Mini Dress

A relaxed A-line mini in the same moiré, with a square neckline, spaghetti straps and the embellished bows. It is cut oversized, so the brand suggests the size below if you want a closer line.

6. The jacket: Bodie Jacquard Bomber Jacket

A relaxed bomber in a metallic floral jacquard, with internal padding, spliced panels, a contrast ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, balloon sleeves and a metal zip. The cloth is shot with metallic thread, so the teal, violet and ochre flowers catch the light.

7. The jacquard gown: Bodie Jacquard Gown

A fitted sleeveless column in the Bodie jacquard, with a round neck, spliced panel construction, an open back on an adjustable strap, topstitched darts and a fringe trim at the hem. The most formal piece in the drop.

8. The party dress: Ellie Sequin Mini Dress

A relaxed mini covered in midnight navy sequins, with a round neck and full-length sleeves on shoulder pads. Navy sequins are easier to wear than black ones and read almost as dark in evening light.

9. The fitted gown: Maxwell Gown

A ruched gown in a recycled viscose jersey with a ruched high neck, a ruched bodice, ruched full-length sleeves, shoulder pads and a gathered skirt with front splits. The print is blue and lilac leaves over brown. Alémais cuts it fitted and suggests the size above if you want a regular line.

10. The floral day dress: Josie Midi Dress

A fitted bodice that ties at the back over a cut-out, an empire waist, adjustable spaghetti straps and a gathered A-line skirt. The print is pink and sage flowers on deep chocolate, in recycled polyester.

11. The linen dress: Joan Midi Dress

A fitted midi in European linen with a round neck, short puff sleeves with shoulder tucks, an empire waist and an A-line skirt. The print is ochre florals on sky blue. This is the summer piece of the drop and the one to pack.

12. The silk shirtdress: Lacey Silk Shirtdress

A midi shirtdress in silk satin with a point collar, a concealed placket, full gathered balloon sleeves on deep buttoned cuffs, a gathered hem and a self-tie belt. Rose pink with an olive scarf border, cut oversized.

13. The knit: Rosette Knit Polo

A relaxed knit polo sweater in RWS merino wool, with an exaggerated collar, a half-button placket, dropped shoulders and ribbed cuffs. Solid chocolate, tipped in olive at the collar, and the plain piece that every print in the drop can be worn with.

How the new season fits

Alémais states the intended shape on every product page and recommends your usual size, then adds a tiebreak for anyone who wants a different line. In this drop the shirts, the shirtdresses and the bomber run oversized, the knit polos and most of the dresses run relaxed, the trousers and skirts run regular, and the two Maxwell pieces are fitted. The Joan pant is the only lightly fitted piece. The brand’s fit model is 176 cm and wears an AU 6, which is a UK 6 and a US 2. What to buy if you only buy one

Buy the Rosette Silk Shirt. It is the most useful piece in the drop: silk twill that can be worn open over a swimsuit, tucked into the matching pant, and worn with denim, and the bow print is quieter on a shirt than on a dress. If you want a dress, the Rosette Silk Scarf Midi Dress is the most distinctive thing Alémais has made this year, and the Joan Midi Dress in linen is the one you will wear most often in heat.
