Alémais Prints: A Guide to Every Resort 2027 Print
Alémais prints are painterly, named artworks that run across whole sets, and the Resort 2027 collection has eleven families, from the Lucena island panorama to the Sail rope print, spread over dresses, shirts, pants and skirts on the Alémais brand page. This guide names each one, says what it looks like and how to wear it.
Key facts
- The Lucena print is a painted panorama of palms, mountains and tropical flowers.
- The Sail print is a rope design in chocolate and cream on European linen.
- The Martos print is a Mediterranean toile of harbour towns and sailing boats on ochre.
- The Alita print is a scrolling abstract framed by scarf borders.
Why the prints matter
Print is the reason most people buy Alémais. The label works from hand-drawn and painted artwork, often with artists, and each print is given a name that carries through a shirt, a bottom and a dress. Knowing the names makes it easy to build a set, and to spot which pieces match. Background on the house is in is Alémais a luxury brand.
The prints, one by one
Lucena: the island print
A painted panorama of palms, mountains and tropical flowers. It is the busiest print in the drop, so wear it with plain sandals and let it do the talking. Lucena Wrap Skirt wraps at the back with a button and has a curved hem.
Sail: the rope print
Rope drawn in chocolate and cream on European linen. It is the most neutral print here and the easiest to wear to a city lunch. Pair the cropped shirt with the shorts, and put a halter dress under a cream cardigan at night.
Martos: the Mediterranean toile
Harbour towns and sailing boats on an ochre ground, drawn like a toile. Toile reads as classic, so it suits a long lunch and a wedding weekend equally.
Alita: scarf borders
A scrolling abstract print framed by scarf borders. The borders sit at hems and edges, which is why the shirt and skirt look tailored to the print. It is the largest family in the collection.
Alba: marbled abstract
A marbled print that looks like endpapers in an old book. On silk it shimmers; on organic cotton it is crisper.
Basilia: the painted check
A sunny yellow check, painted by hand so the lines wobble a little. It feels softer than a gingham.
Bermuda Buttercup: the landscape
A photographic landscape of buttercup meadows falling to a sunlit coastline, finished with contrast zig-zag stitching.
Sophie, Florero and Teo: the artist prints
Artwork made with Sophie Wahlquist: a floral jacquard, a ceramic still life and a bouquet. See our Sophie Wahlquist guide.
Alessia, Xander and Ellis: the florals
Alessia is a fern green botanical floral, mostly on hemp. Xander splices two contrasting blooms on silk. Ellis is a lilac abstract floral that melts into a sunset band at the hem.
A piece in each print
1. Lucena Pant
The Lucena Pant gives you the island print on relaxed European linen wide legs, the easiest way into the busiest print.
2. Sail Cropped Shirt
The Sail Cropped Shirt has corded buttons and elbow-length sleeves, and tucks into the matching Sail Short.
3. Martos Scarf Top
The Martos Scarf Top is a viscose cami with a tie back, made to wear with the Martos Pant.
4. Alita Shirt
The Alita Shirt is European linen with the scarf border running along the hem and sleeves.
5. Alba Silk Midi Dress
The Alba Silk Midi Dress is a relaxed halter with a dropped waist and gathered skirt in the marbled print.
6. Basilia Mini Shirtdress
The Basilia Mini Shirtdress is the painted check in linen with a camp collar and wide sleeves.
7. Xander Spliced Silk Shirt
The Xander Spliced Silk Shirt shows the two-bloom print on silk with buttoned cuffs.
8. Ellis Mini Dress
The Ellis Mini Dress is an A-line racerback with the lilac floral and its sunset band at the hem.
How to wear Alémais prints
- One print head to toe is the Alémais way. Choose a set and keep shoes and bag plain.
- To mix two prints, keep them in one colour family: Sail rope with the chocolate Josefina knit, Alessia fern with Florero green.
- Busy prints (Lucena, Martos) want flat leather sandals. Quieter ones (Sail, Alba) take a heel.
- Break a set with white: a plain shirt over the Alita Pant, a white tee with the Sophie Skirt.
