Why Alémais skirts work
An Alémais skirt is half a set. Every one has a matching shirt, top and knit, so you can buy the skirt alone and wear it with plain pieces, then add the top later. The cuts are simple on purpose, because the print does the work.

1. Lucena Wrap Skirt
The Lucena Wrap Skirt is a fitted midi in hemp and silk with a functional wrap, a button at centre back and a curved hem, in the island print.

The Alita Ruffle Skirt is a gathered A-line midi in organic cotton with an asymmetric ruffle peplum and side tie.

The midi
The Bermuda Buttercup and Sophie skirts are the straightforward midis: knee to below the knee, regular fit, easy with a tucked shirt. The Sophie jacquard has a soft sheen that dresses up for dinner.
The wrap
The Lucena Wrap Skirt is the most tailored. The wrap is real, it closes with a button at the back, and the hemp and silk cloth has more body than linen, so the curved hem holds its line.
The ruffle
The Alita Ruffle Skirt has an asymmetric ruffle peplum at the hip with a side tie. It adds shape at the waist and swings as you walk. There are matching Alita Ruffle Shorts if you prefer legs out.
The knit
The Nieve Sequin Knit Skirt is the evening option, lightly fitted with fringe. Wear it with the red Nieve cardigan.
The mini

Sizing and care
Alémais uses Australian sizes, which match UK sizes one for one: an AU 8 is a UK 8 and a US 4. Knitwear runs in letters from XXS to XXL. Every piece carries the brand's own fit note, so check it before you choose. Full tables are in our Alémais size guide. The Nieve skirt is the exception, sized XXS to XXL. The Alita Ruffle Skirt and Ellis Mini Skirt take a cold hand wash. The Lucena Wrap Skirt, Sophie Skirt, Bermuda Buttercup Midi Skirt and Nieve skirt are dry clean only.
